Latvia - Netherlands [Euro2004]

Will Redbox dye his hair if Latvia step in Euro 2004 ? That is all we want

Last game of this group:

Latvia - Netherlands

Our opponent:

With fast and technicals player, Netherlands will surely put a big pressure in the first minutes of the game.

Starting line-up against the Czech

1 - Edwin van der Sar
18 - Johnny Heitinga
3 - Jaap Stam
4 - Wilfred Bouma
5 - Giovanni van Bronckhorst
20 - Clarence Seedorf
6 - Phillip Cocu
8 - Edgar Davids
7 - Andy van der Meyde
10 - Ruud van Nistelrooy
19 - Arjen Robben

Like Astajfevs was saying in an interview

First game => first goal
Second game => First point
Third game => First Victory ?

Latvia will need a victory and a draw from the germans against Czech Republic to qualify to the quarter final.

Come on Latvia keep surprise us !

I won't dye my hair. But as this is eveninig of St. Jones day here i could get all drunk for sure Anyway, i think for dutch team it'll be hardest game, they know that to qualify they need only a win, their attacking side is one of the most powerful in the world. Latvia can show a good team spirit again, play defensivly and hope for good counter attack possibilities. Everybody of our team is ready for the highest result in this game - victory.

Arghhh ! I think that i won't be able to see that game because the two game are playing in the same time and the french tv will probably show the German - Czech one. And only the highlight of the Latvian one. Damned !

Ignas> Actually it will be on channel "France 2" i have no idea which one it will be. But yesterday they have show the italian game, with only the goals from Sweden- Denmark game, and then the other game was shown later in the night.
So i think it will be the same here again.... :frustrat:

BTW what is St Jones 's day ?

In Latvia mythology it's day when there's shortest night, then daylight time starts changing with everyday. It's connected with agriculture also in ancient times.

P. S - You should write protest to France2 TV - How can it be they won't show the game where the biggest world country (Latvia) participate? I hope Latvia fans will take this poster which they made - Latvia is the biggest country in the world. During the Ice Hockey Championship we had some advertise where it was said that LV is biggest country, now they make fun of it in Euro2004 too.

When Latvia wins this match and qualifies, then it would be like...one of the coolest things ever happened in the game of football. Good luck, Latvia.You will need it.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

In Lithuania we have that too. Its even become a public holiday since last year, so that people can celebrate all night and not go to work the next day

Ehh, what a shame I am not in Lithuania tomorow.

Anyway, we will drink for Latvia tonight!

This is Holland and we gotta be real, but anyway i didn't expect so passive gaming from Latvia, i thought they'll do much better in attack. Kolinko is good as always Let's see what happens after a break, but we shouldn't make a tragedy of this.
