Oho, Skonto chances to get further are rated so hig Actually they always get to the 2nd round and then it depends. When they get to the 3rd round it's more interesting, we've seen Barcelona and Inter playing here in Riga. Let's hope they could bring some more "grands" to homeland.

Hi, just received good news today, UEFA awarded Lithuania second place in Intertoto Cup, so it will be taken by Atlantas.
Quite unexpected thing, but it is better for our football for sure.

BTW, now more than half clubs(5 out of 8) from Lithuanian league will take part in European competitions.

As for Champions League, FBK Kaunas will try to get to the second round and avoid Celtic there, cause Scots played already twice with Lithuanian clubs in the pats 2 years, and the year before Kaunas played Rangers in CL qualification also...Lithuania NT also played Scotland in EURO 2004 qualification.

I think Lithuania has some sort of Scottish curse

Maybe the coefficient are related also with the NT achievement too...

They are made by dividing all points achieved in European Cups from matches played.

1 point is awarded for a victory, and 0.5 point is awarded for a draw; Points dont count for Intertoto Cup.

So last season; e.g. lithuanian clubs played 8 european matches; 2 wins, 2 draws; 4 defeats;

so

3/8=0.375

When there is a draw for a UEFA competition, every countries last 5 years coefficients are added up to get a mean coefficient, which is then decisive in ordering the countries. So basically, good performance in one year doesnt change a lot, if the previous seasons were bad; and vice-versus.

hope its more clear now

Not sure, but it seems Atlantas' opponent will be Spartak Moscow. I see no chances for Lithuanian team to get into the next round...

Usually they're out in the first round.Last year they were beaten by molovan club Sheriff Tiraspol and year before that they lost to Apoel Nicosia from Cyprus.Actually, I can't remember Flora ever reaching past the first round.Some years ago Levadia qualified to the second round after beating some Welsh club.I quess that's the best achievement by Estonian club in UCL so far.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

A lot of he says for Liepajas Metalurgs and Ventspils it's a luck - to play against such teams. Honestly, i think they should go through these teams.
