Yehven Konoplyanka

Is Konoplyanka good enough to play for Man Utd. I would love to hear views from people who have seen him play regularly, thanks.

I don't know how strong the link of Kono to ManU is because Ukrainian sources aren't reporting the same things the British media is.

But Never the less, I think he is good enough. Always does well against English teams and has all the tools to succeed in the league. Quick, agile, great dribbling, decent shot, could produce a better final ball but that can change with better attackers around him. He will probably get better with better team-mates around him. In the UPL Kono attracts a lot of attention and gets closed down fast by 2-3 defenders and at times still manages to do a lot with a little. For the 5 years I'v been watching him, he got better every year and way more consistent. So for the price of his buyout clause, he would be a great signing, especially considering the price of Willian, Mkhytaryan and Fernandinho. I think if given the opportunity he will prove to be a better winger in the BPL then Willian.

So latest rumors are that Sevilla and Liverpool are out and Tottenham and Atletico Madrid still fighting over him. Anything but Stoke at this point for the love of god :rollani:

Contract expires tmrw wonder if he will sign quickly after that, getting pretty annoyed with all the rumors lately.

From what I heard it's gonna be Atletico. He was in Madrid looking for a home to buy recently.

But who knows maybe Spurs are still in it.

Sevilla and Stoke are not options anymore.

Valencia has always been my favorite team, but I was also very sympathetic to Sevilla too. Its a beautiful city, my fav in Spain. People there are very passionate and fun loving, if you know the kind of jokester Konoplyanka is then trust me its a perfect culture for him to adapt too

Great fans and futbol culture there, its an absolutely dream fit for him. Fck if only we had just beat them in the Final...but maybe they wouldn't have signed him then p

Aside from Spain and Seville being a great place, and a great place for football. This seems to be the perfect team decision for him, I expect him to be given first team opportunities right away, and improving from playing against the best player and teams. And who knows in 1/2 years he could be playing on a champions league winning team.

I think he made a better decision going to Seville then Douglas Costa made going to Bayern.

So pleased for Yevhen! Absolutely brilliant move for him, that. Also really exciting for Ukraine to also have a player playing on such a high stage now

Not official yet lol...I guess his contract with Dnipro is until July 31st and not June 30th like everyone thought? Sevilla gave him until July 10th to get the permission and documents from Dnipro to leave early. If Dnipro don't provide it who knows maybe Sevilla will move on

Goal number 2 for Konoplyanka! Not sure he meant this one, though amazing if he did!

Konoplyanka scores Sevilla's winning goal for their first league win of the season.

3 goals in 7 matches off the bench...what does it take to start on this mediocre team...

Hopefully Yevhen gets a start soon, though I doubt Sevilla are that mediocre despite their start. They've won the Europa League 4 times in 10 years, and even though they lost a couple of their best players in the summer I'm sure they'll rebuild. La Liga is the best league in the world too, and he seems happy he moved to La Liga instead of England: “If I was two-and-a-half metres tall and didn’t know how to control a ball then I may have gone to England"

Didn't he spend the weeks before his move bigging up the English league, though? I read he'd said going to England was his decision when he turned down Roma.

Btw Kalinic has been on fire for Fiorentina, he's oozing confidence right now. Scored a hat trick v. Inter and played a delightful assist to Rakitic for Croatia.

Kankava scored a brilliant volley goal v. Germany after giving up a pk. Starting for his new french club too.

Kono had a brilliant game against one of the top teams in Europe, seems to be scoring more goals then he did for Dnipro.
