Metalist Kharkhiv's Youth and Coaching

I've heard Southampton coach and head of youth development will be visiting Metalist to look at the youth set up and how they bring players through their system.

Can anybody tell me more what their set up is like, do they do anything special?

Dynamo Kyiv are better than Shakhtar Donnetsk!

That's odd. Metalist hasn't really had anybody that I can think of come through their youth academy. Most of the team is foreigners, maybe like 2 super young players from the youth team on the roster right now who don't even play.

lol he should have turned up at Honved in Hungary instead.

Best thing I think they know how to do is spot offensive flair talents from south america.

I thought it seemed odd. As you say, they are most famous for bringing in South American players. Maybe this rumour is wrong.

Here's a link and possible answer for you. Olexandr Yaroslavskiy says their facilities in the academy now compare to Barca, Bayern etc, after he started investing all those years ago. The benefits probably aren't quite visible to everyone at the moment, but maybe they will be in the future.

In the meantime, Metalist's new owners are apparently intending to spend $50-100m in the next year and sign a few players this winter.

Jaroslavsky did a great job in metalist,put them in european football map.
Metalist fans should thank him.

Gazukraina have a lot of money,are they willing to turn Metalist into a bilionaire club?we will see.
