UEFA Intertoto Cup 2007

I thought I'd make this thread for any fans of Chudo (do we have any?) or the cup itself.

Chornomorets has been drawn into the 2nd Round and awaits the winner of FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk (BEL) and Ararat Yerevan (ARM).

Last year Dnipro lost on away goals to Olympique de Marseille in the 3rd Round. It is the farthest a Ukrainian club has advanced in the tournament. Oddly enough there is another possible Ukraine-France matchup in the 3rd Round this year. If Chornomorets advances past the 2nd Round, then they will face RC Lens (FRA) in the 3rd Round.

And what about YKPAIHIAH teams that play .500 footy???

Now considering that the French league is ranked higher than the Vyshcha Liha, I reckon The Black Seamen will have to play at level they have never played before to get into the UEFA Cup.

In other words - A long shot!

In Intertoto anything might happen....a team like Lens will probably underrate Chernomorets....I give it 40/60 in favour of Lens.

Let's see what Chudo does in transfer season... Their today's roster might be too weak to overcome Armenians...:undecide:

With Symonenko at Arsenal and Vehnlinskiy going to Russia, their chances are looking slim to none... though i wouldn't exactly call the two Chornomorets valuable players. Vehnlinskiy seems to have lost his scoring touch.

Well Venhlisky might go to Vladivostok! ,a surprise for some but not for me,guess vladivostok has more value that the six best uke team...i though it is only moscow clubs or zenit/rubin for the uke players but guess that even the russian second division might be better then Chudo.

Why don't you mention Bilozor and Danilovsky, leaving for Metadon?

I just wanted to mention them, but i guess you did it before me... These 2 are far more valuable and are directly resposible for Chudo's "reasonable success" (qualifying for 'toto) this season...

I just wonder why you have to keep going on and on about your opinion regarding where he'd be better off . Can't you just say, "he might go to Vladivostok"?

Is better the russian league and he is going to win more money in siberia..the only handicap, the long flight journeys he will have per year.
