Ukrainian Cup - Major Changes!

So Pfl decide to make a revolution in the uke cup system.

From now on there will be only one leg per round,so no more two legs in the quarter finals or semi finals.

Also a major change the fact that dynamo and Shakhtar can meet each other in any round starting from the 1/16 round.

But what i don't agree is that the cup final will not have to be played more in the olympyisky unless dynamo, arsenal or obolon play with each other!:rollani: ,it will be a neutral venue ,bunch of morons, the final should be played in the capital. This starts already in next year.

It doesn't matter anyway: Olimpiysky will be closed for reconstruction since next winter at latest.

Kleber, are you planning to come for 2012 final by the way?? :smileani:

If that's true, I apllaud the decision.

Incuding, a decision of a neutral venue for the final. Other european leagues cannot be compared to. (1) most of the major league have more than 1 stadion and more than one good team there which elivates the problem of 1 major team always palying "its" finals not only in its city, but at its arena constantly. (2) considering how frequently DK appears in the finals, it may not be compared to any other euorpean capital's tream; (3) you can;t compare difficulties with which ukr. fans of a non-Kyiv team are facing to travel to the final with those of the other major leagues. For this, it is an excellent decision. It is enough that DK has a huge advantage in money which cannot be mitigated. They don;t need an additional adv. playing the finals home before its owm audence.

I welcome the decision to spread the final throughout Ukraine!!!
Maybe finally Donetsk and Lviv get some matches...

P.S. Is there anything about the Super Cup? Will it still be held in Odesa?

Bullshit, the cup final should be in the city capital, anyway when the olympyisky is reconstructed the final should return to there....

The first two measures are well enough to give the uke cup a new face, now dynamo-shakhtar in the final is more likely not to happen.

I am realy seeing a dynamo-shakhtar final in a 30.000 seat stadium!? :rollani:

If Dynamo qualifies for the CL 2007/08 the stadium will not be closed till the end of their CL campaign. :smileani: What about the 2008 season, I suppose they will have to do without the 83,000 arena. :rollani:

Enough of this DK bullshit, enough! They are equal to any other team in the league. May be being out of warm Surkis' hands will help them to become a real team.

From a selfish perspective I will be a bit disappointed if the Cup Final moves out of Kyiv because I like to go there and watch it on a yearly basis. That said, it wouldn't kill me to go to Lviv or Odesa or somewhere to watch it, it might be even better. But my main concern would be tickets - a final in Lviv would create a high ticket demand which simply doesn't exist in Kyiv and thus I wouldn't be able to go.

However, there is more to life than my happiness so whatever's best for the competition I suppose.
