Euro-2008: France - Ukraine

Its probably the time we start this thread.

My line up would be:

-----------------------Shovkovsky--------------------------
--Yezersky--------Chyhrynsky----Rusol--------Nesmachny---
-------------------Shelayev---Tymoschuk-------------------
--Husyev--------------------------------------Kalinichenko--
------------------Levchenko/Nazarenko-----------------------
------------------------Voronin------------------------------

Id like to see Nazarenko just behind Voronin, but I very much doubt he will start, since Blokhin doesnt trust him...
Also wouldnt be surprised to see Mykhalyk in the lineup instead of Shelayev.

That defense looks scary to say the least.....Shelaev is not a start in dnipro at the moment and timochuk looks horrible in zenit lately.

Kalinichenko hasn't exactly been on form due to his limited playing time as well.

The defense isn't that bad ... The weak link is Nesmachny and hes had some good games for the UNT.

Drop Shelaev and Kalini to the bench, put Levchenko on the left and gamble that Belyk will have a good performance.

Nikita & everyone else from the NY metropolitan area: join our forces behind our UNT in pivotal game vs the Frenchies on June 2 , 2007, either at Ukrainain House or Nevada Smith (both in the Village). :smileani: The full house and ocean of beer are expected. The details will follow as the game day approaches.

Without Sheva, Rebrov and Milevsky our offensive line looks poor.
The only hope is for a 0-0 draw

Meh, Sheva does nothing, Rebrov is good, and Milevsky does nothing... Maybe now the players will just be more hungry to prove they should be starters or something..

Yea but still, they never do anything, almost like the don't give a shit... They're better only when playing for clubs it seems

...And Voronin's last game is gonna be only May, 19. So, he'll have to keep himself hit on his own.

We actually have a pretty good central defence.

Sheva? Sheva hasn't done much for the team since the start of 2006.

No surprises here. Although Id love to see Gladkyi getting a call up especially seeing as neither Vorobey nor Belyk are good enough to play France.

P.S. For pete's sake what the heck is Vorobei doing there?!!??!!??!!??!!??

New Zealand has supposedly withdrawn from the friendly match against Ukraine on June 6.
