A meaningless tournament, but it would nice to see the Russian football's ass kicked once again. p

Why it is a meaningless tournament?1 million euros with both best rus/ukr teams meet each other.

What i call meaningless is all the other friendly games during january and february as july.

Well a tournament with €1 million prize money is certainly not meaningless, for the board members and management team not at least .

Do all teams play with their best XI?

And why is it held in Israel? Just randomly chosen because of the good climate?

A lot of russians live in israel,Abramovich have some links with the israel football, and of course you could only play this tournament in russia or ukraine in a artificial lawn, maybe only in the luzhniki indoor stadium in moscow.

I think Dynamo will be the only one playing at full strenght because from all the teams they are the only one out of the european cups.

1 mil euros for the teams that participate is no more than a little change.
The Russian-Ukrainian rivary is the only thing that keeps it interesting for the fans.

@knoert: it is the 2nd cup, both are hosted by Israel. It's not as much about the climate, but because the tournament will attract a lot of interest of FSU diaspora in Israel and because the main sponsors happen to be Jewish.

Kleber will never know how much he's offending others reading this forum with his sloppy spelling and shallow knowledge. Please go to Portuguese-only forum if you insist on writing like "1 feb in Telavive."

I have nothing against them playing in Israel. What's the difference: Turkey, Dubai or Tel-Aviv?

As far as artificial lawn, it depends which one. The one in Moscow is a disgrace - you can hardly call it football. Do they still play official games there in Russina chanpionship? Spartak & CSKA used to take a full advantage playing important Spring / Fall games there. A good artifical lawn cost a lot of money, but when built it is barely distinguishable from a real one.

I don't get what are you saying, luzhniki could even play the Cl 2008 final there in the artifical lawn if the want.
The artificial lawn in the luzhniki is a five star uefa one.

Don't know the real state about the indoor one but from some pics and images so far from the Cis cup it seems good.

I am talking about artificial lawn under the roof, indoors. What Luzhniki has to do with anything? Can you play there now?

Moscow's indoors artificial "lawn" is disgusting and a source of many uneccesary injuries.

TBH I think it would be wrong to criticise Kleber for his English grammar. It isn't his first language and I would love to be able to speak Ukrainian as well as he can speak, or at least write, English.

P.S. Telavive is French for " Paw-shaped the alive" p

Dynamo Kyiv are better than Shakhtar Donnetsk!

In Luzhniki?with this weird temperatures that you have now in moscow you might have a chance to play there, but i doubt too many people will go to the games.

The moscow's indoor artificial lawn seems fine to me this year.

How about kleber only forum? p

You did make bunch of factual (not grammatical) mistakes in a couple of sentences. There are a lot of ethnic Jews from FSU, not "russians" in Israel. And what is Telavive? SOunds like some Georgian wine. p You did spell "Dynamo" correctly though. p

What's the difference between this year indoor "lawn" and 1980? It's the same!
