no Shalaev? no Rotan, Rebrov, who the hell is gonna play in the midfield.

ohh, dont get your hopes up, Nesmachniy is the LB until he gets injured. i personally hate him, but his position is as locked as Sashos or SHevas.

Rotan and Rebrov are injured...
Shelayev? Not sure about him...

Yeah, I know Nesmachniy will play for sure, but its a good sign that Romanchuk has been considered for the NT. Maybe he'll gets his chance in the starting lineup soon - at least against Faroe Islands...

As for the midfield position... Im pretty sure we gonna go with two DMs again: most probably Tymoschuk and Husyn (still dont understand why did he come back :undecide. Although I wish we'd go with one constructive player instead. The likes of Rykun or Nazarenko, who's been very influencial for Dnipro this season would be a better choice IMHO.
The wings are pretty much decided: Husyev and Kalina... Who else can you play there? No-one! (I dont rate Vorobei as a NT player)
And as for strike partnership - its between Voronin, who's in a pretty poor form at the moment (started in only one game for Bayer this season) and Milevsky, who honestly didnt impress me against a stronger opposition yet, to partner Sheva...
One striker is out of questions... Sheva in his current form will be completely taken out the game by Canavaro and co...

So, my line up would be:

-------------------Kernozenko-----------------
--Svidersky---Yezersky----Rusol---Nesmachny--
------------------Tymoschuk-------------------
-Husyev----------Nazarenko-------Kalinichenko-
------------Voronin----------------------------
-----------------------Shevchenko------------

Though I wouldnt be surprised to see this line-up:

-------------------Shovkovsky------------------
--Husyev-----Yezersky-----Rusol----Nesmachny-
------------Tymoschuk-----Husyn---------------
--Vorobey-------------------------Kalinichenko--
------------Voronin-----------------------------
------------------------Shevchenko-------------

HUsin will start for sure, but he wont last 90 minutes. Ukraine never plays with 3 attacking mids, so who will partner with Tymoshchyk is beyond me, some unproven u21 player?

i like Nazarenko, but niether him nor Kalinchenko are quality players. i dont think we could even beat scotland with that team, italy is out of the question.

Whats up with that negative attitude? Are you doing this so a defeat wouldnt hurt as much or are you just that type of a person?

If you ask me, no matter how bad things look on paper, I still believe everything is possible, cause football is not played on paper...

Ok, Kalinichenko is not class, in the World Cup he was great only in the Saudi game, but he's still a very good winger that can provide quality crosses - I've seen him doing it. Voronin is not at his best, but he constantly puts pressure on the opposition. The same can be said about our defense. There are weaknesses but its not like its a complete seive... And they can step up when necessary.

P.S. "unproven U21 players"? I wouldnt call Euro U-21 finalist who play regularly for their clubs unproven...

P.P.S. Shelayev has indeed been called up... Must've missed him the first time...

Voronin scored a wonderful goal vs Sion and he also drew a penalty. I think he's doing alright.

Lets hope you're right... We gonna need him at his best vs the Italians... Its clear he wont last the whole 90 minutes in that game, but do you think its better to play him from the start or sub him in (for Milevksy) at some point in the second half?

I think keep Voronin on for 60 minutes, then depending on how he's doing up there with Sheva decide who to bring on Milevsky for. I wouldn't be too shocked to see milevsky go in for Sheva if he plays like he has at Chelsea.

The biggest question, will Blokhin able to pick his demoralized players by their bootstraps after devasting performances in their respective clubs (incl., Sheva)?

Lets hope Buffon playing is Seria B will dull his reflexes so this time, the back of the net won't seem so far away.

I seriously doubt that any Juventus international player will be affected by playing a season in Seria B. In fact with less pressure from midweek European games and the hacking that goes on in Seria A all those international players will enjoy their stay in Seria B knowing full well that everywhere they play opposing sides and their fans will be looking to see how good they really are...

The following Juventus is getting in Seria B in the last few games has been quite phemonmenal.

Don drops Cassano and Gila Sunday 1 October, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roberto Donadoni has dropped Alberto Gilardino and Antonio Cassano, but recalled Luca Toni and Alex Del Piero against Ukraine and Georgia.

The return of the two World Cup winners – along with Vincenzo Iaquinta and the previously suspended Marco Materazzi – was expected, but Real Madrid starlet Cassano had impressed in the 1-1 draw with Lithuania.

Gilardino is yet to hit the back of the net for Milan this season, although his header hit the woodwork today, but it was still a surprise to see him dropped completely.

The new face is that of Lazio midfielder Stefano Mauri, while David Di Michele, Antonio Di Natale and Sampdoria’s Gennaro Del Vecchio retain their spots.

The Coach was originally set to unveil the list this afternoon, but delayed the announcement until he could receive news on Fabio Grosso’s muscular injury suffered during Inter’s 1-1 draw at Cagliari. It is not a serious problem and he is in the side.

The Azzurri desperately need points after a 1-1 draw with Lithuania and 3-1 defeat in France, so their chances of reaching the tournament depend on these next two games.

Andriy Shevchenko’s Ukraine – who were defeated 3-0 by Marcello Lippi’s men on their way to the World Cup triumph this summer – play at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on October 7.

The trip to Tbilisi to take on Georgia will take place on October 11. The Italy team will unite at the Coverciano training ground on Monday.

Goalkeepers: Abbiati (Torino), Amelia (Livorno), Buffon (Juventus)

Defenders: Barzagli (Palermo), Cannavaro (Real Madrid), Grosso (Inter), Materazzi (Inter), Nesta (Milan), Oddo (Lazio), Pasqual (Fiorentina), Zaccardo (Palermo), Zambrotta (Barcelona)

Midfielders: Camoranesi (Juventus), Del Vecchio (Sampdoria), De Rossi (Roma), Gattuso (Milan), Mauri (Lazio), Perrotta (Roma), Pirlo (Milan)

Forwards: Del Piero (Juventus), Di Michele (Palermo), Di Natale (Udinese), Iaquinta (Udinese), Inzaghi (Milan), Toni (Fiorentina)

My heart = INTER...No Matter Win or Lose...

Zanetti : I still remember my first day at Inter. I arrived with a plastic bag with my boots inside and I crossed the crowd of fans who were asking who I was. That's where it all started.....

This game might not be shown on any Uke channel cause of the pricetag: 1.5 mln euro (as much as Olympic games were worth)
