WC2006: Ukraine - Tunisia

All we need is a draw...But I hope they dont purposely go for that draw...Because it could lead to disaster...I would like Ukraine to begin with a 4 - 4 - 2 and see how the first half goes..And if we need to (hopefully, I pray, we don't need to) switch to a 3 - 5 - 2...

Tomorrow is the biggest game in our independant history...I'll be happy with any result that sees us through.. 0 - 0... 1 - 1..10 - 10... 8 - 0 for us... 1 - 0 for us...etc...I think we're the favourite but that means absolutely nothing in today's Football...Please God, give us this victory vs Tunisia, Ukraine's final group stage game in the 2006 world cup in Germany, to be played on Friday, June 23rd, 2006, in Berlin.

Well, I want him to go with a 4 - 4 - 2...since Tunisia will be the ones attacking...MAYBE even a 5 - 4 - 1 but I think 4 - 4 - 2 is better ; Maybe Ukraine can get a counter attacking goal.

I want

GK - Shovkovsky
D - Rusol, Nesmachny, Yezersky (if he's hurt, then Svidersky), Vaschuk
M - Tymoschuk, Husyev, Kalinichenko, Rebrov
F - Shevchenko, Voronin

what's yours

Gk-Shovkovsky.
D-ezersky(right defender),if he not recover,Svidersky than,Vaschuk,Rusol,Nesmachny.
M-Husiev,Shelaev,timochuk,kalinichenko
F-Shevchenko,Voronin.

Give another chance to Vaschuk to prove himself.
Ans Sadly Rebrov will have to stay in the bench.

Why do you want Rebrov on the bench Because an attacking mid won't be needed? I keep forgetting about Shelayev, I wouldn't mind him playing..

Rebrov in the team? ,well than Husiev or Kalinichenko will not start, and it is not fair to leave Kalinichenko on the bench.

Thats the lineup i want:

------------------Shovkovsky-------------------
------------------------------------------------
--Svidersky----Rusol----Vaschuk---Nesmachny---
------------------------------------------------
-----------------Tymoschuk---------------------
------------------------------------------------
--Husyev--------------------------Kalinichenko--
------------------------------------------------
-----------Rebrov----------Voronin--------------
------------------------------------------------
-----------------Shevchenko--------------------

Thats the lineup I expect since even a draw will see us thru:

------------------Shovkovsky-------------------
------------------------------------------------
--Svidersky----Rusol----Vaschuk---Nesmachny---
------------------------------------------------
----------Tymoschuk----Shelayev---------------
------------------------------------------------
--Husyev--------------------------Kalinichenko--
------------------------------------------------
--------------------------Voronin---------------
-------------Shevchenko------------------------

We're probably the only team in the tournament that plays with so many defensive minded players p
Even vs the Saudis when the score wa 3 or 4 nil we brought on another defensive minded player (Husyn) instead of an attacking minded one p
I can understand Blokhin he wants to play it safe, but the only reason we're there becuase HE took a lot of risky decisions, brought some players that were never even considered a NT material... Anyway, I hope his "safe" tactics will be enough today...

Good Luck Ukrajina!!!! Today is by far the biggest day in my footballing life!!!!

Huge game for us lads! Best of luck and lets hope we do take a more aggressive stance and attack a bit, because we showed we can do it in the past. Our strength is our attack, so lets go foward, at least on the counter! I hope we dont see both Tymoschuk and Husin start

Tymoschuk might not have his best tourny, but he's our engine... He always on the move, keeping the pressure on the opposition and this lights up the other players... He's very important in the game... He's our own Gattuzo

I predict Tunisia coming at us full force from the opening whistle and us catching them on the counter attack in the first 10 minutes of the game. After that it will be easy pickins for our boys.
