Like I said in the Milan forum, you can and you DO, everyone does!!! Only Henry and Raul havent scored in the qualifying stage and everyone else did (at least in the TOP10) and thats only because they never played there...

Even in the ALL-Time European Cup AND League it says:
1 - Sheva with 52 goals
2 - Raul with 51 goals
3 - Di Stefano with 49 goals
4 - va Nisterlooy with 47 goals (4 of those were in qualifyers btw)

Roman you should change the name of the thread to european cups all time scorers because of course Shevchenko doesnt have 52 goals in the champions league.... the coreect number is 48 if you count the qualifying rouns......he has 3 goals in the uefa cup and one more in the european supercup......and than you get the 52 goals.....

So 48 in the champions league.....

Season 1995-1996: Dynamo Kyiv 2 goals (qualifying)
Season 1997-1998: Dynamo Kyiv 6 goals (1 qualifying, 5 group)
Season 1998-1999: Dynamo Kyiv 11 goals (3 qualifying, 3 group, 5 knock-out)
Season 1999-2000: Milan 1 goals (group)
Season 2000-2001: Milan 9 goals (4 qualifying, 5 group)
Season 2002-2003: Milan 4 goals (2 group, 2 knock-out)
Season 2003-2004: Milan 4 goals (1 group, 3 knock-out)

.....well the goal in Prague was not scored by Shevchenko in case you dont know that,it was a own goal scored by a Sparta player...if you dont believe go check the video......altough it might not be easy to find.......i saw the game anyway,so i know what i am talking about.....

Shevchenko scored two goals against Barry town in Kyiv....and had scored 8 more goals in the Cl group phase,Qf and Sf..........so 10 goals from Shevchenko in the season 98-99....

Yeah he isn't a bad player. You know what though, when the World Cup comes around he better get his PK shooting boots on, because every goal counts and I don't want the Spain game to read 1:1 Raul 13th min - Kalynychenko 27th min, Sheva (mpk) 47th min

Hi,

Thought I would add something to this as I admire Sheva as a player very much.

I have seen some people say you cannot count the goals he scored in the qualification rounds for Kiev, well I disagree.

The qualification is as much part of the competition as the final is.

Like the World Cup, the qualifications are part 1 of the tournament, the next are the final rounds.

So yes, its 52 goals for Sheva
