RIP Karel Urbanek



FORMER PLAYER KAREL URBANEK DIES, AGED 35
Following a battle with cancer, former Hradec Kralove, Drnovice, and Jablonec player Karel Urbanek has died at the age of 35.

A former Under-21 international, Urbanek was also the first Czech footballer to play in the Russian league, and won the Pohar CMFS (CMFS Cup) with Hradec in 1995. He made 167 appearances in the Czech first division and scored six goals.
