The legend continues - BOHEMIANS 1905

B O H E M I A N S--1 9 0 5

You may have noticed in few of my posts that I had finally fallen in love with a Czech team. I had been trying to cheer for ONE CLUB in our country for more than 10 years but I had never become a true fan of any team. I've liked in my life teams as Marila Pribram, Slavia, Dynamo Ceske Budejovice, Synot, Bohemians, Mlada Boleslav or Brno but it never tourned out to be a permanent support. Just "it would be good if they won..."

2 reasons - I am from Tábor, so it's more than 75 km far from any league stadium. And I also love Parma and so many sportsmen in other sports that my heart perhaps didn't allow me more.

Nowadays - as I stay in Prague - I attend sport matches - hockey and football ones and that's a different story. I've become a Bohemans fan!

This thread i dedicated to this fantastic club!

ČFL TABLE after 30/34 rounds

It's quite hard to see Boemka back in 2nd league next year... I'm sorry because it's a nice team and fans seem to be big friends with St.Pauli fans with which they share the 3rd division and big financial problems in the last years... Also Boemka has many fans, I think they have the highest attendance in the 3rd League and probably better than much 2nd League teams as well.

UC Sampdoria - FC St.Pauli - 1.FC Nürnberg - De Graafschap

Bei St.Pauli spielt man nicht wegen dem Geld, weil es dort keins gibt,
bei St.Pauli spielt man wegen St.Pauli!

...and better than half of the first league teams also!

You're right, Bohemka won't be promoted this time, with 3 matches to go it is almost impossible.

ČFL TABLE after 31/34 rounds
60 - Čáslav
60 - Varnsdorf
57 - Střížkov (playing as Bohemians Praha but they're not!!!)
55 - Bohemians 1905 (true Bohemians)
52 - SK Slavia Praha B
51 - Prachatice

Sunday 17:00
BOHEMIANS 1905 - DRAGOUN BŘEVNOV

5 points behind the leaders is too many with 3 matches to go, that's so obvious. Čáslav is in a great form and don't have to play any of the good sides, I pretty much believe they'll win it. But it may be possible to advance even from the second place as Xaverov (2nd league) won't participate next year due to finincial problems. But who knows - someone may buy their license anyway.

We need Střížkov getting no more than 7 points / out of 9.
We need Varnsdorf to draw with Slavia.
We need to win all the remaining matches.

I'll be in the stadium supporting Bohemians, there will also be Vladimir Smicer and Ladislav Vízek. Smicer said he may play for Bohemians when he returns back to our league. I guess we will welcome him with an aplause.

BOHEMKA DO TOHO!!!

other matches:
Náchod - Čáslav
Slavia B - Varnsdorf

Is there any chance to see Bohemka buying league from some 2nd division team?

Jiří Steinbroch (the director) said we wouldn't want to go this way. So it's very unlike. Plus we need money elsewhere. Or in better words - we need money!

Great to see that you have become a Bohemka fan

Klokani, or Kangoroos which is their nickname, have been one of my favourite czech teams, right behind or along with Slavia. Unfortunately they sliped down into the third division, due to financial problems. But now they are fighting to the top.

They are somewhat simmilair to St.Pauli, not only since they have a nice friendship and you can often see St. Pauli fans at Dolicek, and Bohemians Fans at Millerntor. They both play their national third division and they top many clubs in attendance. Bohemka has a higher fan turnout than most first division clubs.
And of course their fans have a very similair mentality. Antirasist and Antifasist...

BOHEMIANS - BREVNOV 1-1
56' Dian (p) – 63. Karda
attendance: 3813

Bohemians: Zahálka – Nešpor, Pávek (46. Rosick&#253, Freisler, Kotrba – Dian, Vágner, Hašek, Bartek (67. Kotyza) – Slezák, Strnad (60. Kulvajt).

Břevnov: Rada – Budějský, Šilhavý, Skoupý, Vilhelm – Vobořil, Karda, Moravec (70. Dejmek), Bošanský (90. Rišian) – Knobloch, Kounovský.

Today 1-1 with Brevnov and it's 100% sure we won't get promoted. It was one of the worst performance of the season, still we wouldn't have lost hadn't it been for that huge individual mistake by the reserve GK.

Attendance was good again - 3813 - special guests Vízek, Ivan Hasek, Michal Petrous, Michal Bílek and VLADIMIR SMICER with a Bohemians scarf!!!

My ratings:
Zahalka - 4
Nespor - 5.5
Pavek - 4.5
Freisler - 5.0
Kotrba - 5.5
Dian - no vote
Hasek - 5.5
Vagner - 4.5
Bartek - 4.5
Slezak - 5.5
Strnad - 5.0

On the possitive note Sparta B got relegated so it's one more derby for the next season.

Marco, isn't that keeper Zahalka the one who was in Italy playing lowerd divisions, and also in Como for a little while?

Very nice pix! I didn't know that Smica was "klokan"

Congrats, it'll be nice to see Bohemka in 2nd division Do you expect attack for promotion? Or just battle to avoid the drop?

Euphoria in Bohemians! We are all looking forward to playing second league next season.

Bohemians will also have its B-team, probably in "divize" (4th league). The head coach will have 2 assistents - the coach of youth and the coach of B-team.

We may also sign some of the Xaverov player who are now free.

The director confirmed we would be competitve for sure in the higher division but we will very probably not push for the promotion. We need few more years to build the team and to get more money.

Tomorrow in Prachatice without some of the main players - Dian, Slezak, Charvat - we will see...

Prachatice - Bohemians 3-3 (Kulvajt, Hasek (2))
We were a better team but made many mistakes (GK Zahalka agan) and allowed Prachatice to gain a point.

Grande Ivan Hašek!

Today the last match of the season against Varnsdorf.

TABLE:
68 - Varnsdorf
68 - Čáslav
65 - Střížkov (Bohemians Praha)
58 - Slavia B
57 - Bohemians 1905

Čáslav - Prachatice
Bohemians 1905 - Varnsdorf

Varnsdorf have better score than Čáslav but they will probably need a victory in Prague anyway. We will see. But Bohemka won't play its best team for sure (many injuries), on the other hand they want to thank the fans for an unbelivable season!

With this XI: Havránek - Nešpor, Lukáš, Pávek, Uchytil - Růžička, Hašek, Vágner, Bartek - Slezák, Kulvajt we won 2-0. Varnsdorf stays in ČFL, it's Čáslav that is promoted.

Great match, fans were celebrating the end of the season in style. Bohemka finished 4th in this season of ČFL.
