FT

Czech Republic 1
Brazil 1

Sets up a big game against Canada later this week. Canada has to win to have any hope of being one of the best 3rd place teams. If the Czech Republic loses they are out. If they tie they might advance as one of the best 3rd place teams. A win would likely advance them to the second round.

Shining U17 Czechs

Czech Republic's hopes of qualifying for the finals of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship were revived by a 2-0 victory against Hungary, whose hopes of topping the Group 1 mini-tournament are now over. The Czechs might yet reach the U17 finals but we'll have to win the last match to make sure of it.

Jan Mucha gave Jakub Dovalil's side the lead after 28 minutes, and Jirí Jeslínek scored the second 59min and I haven't seen either of them .

We have to beat the Russians in our final game and hope Spain are held by the Hungarians to reach the eight-team finals, which will be held in France this May. Both matches take place on Wednesday. Although we still have a chance, I don't think Hungary can contain Spain.

STAY AHEAD

It's something like this:

Ludek Frydrych

Michal Svec
Vladan Binic
Ales Hanzlík
Petr Pavlík

Jan Šimunek
Zdenek Šturma
Jan Mucha
Kamil Vacek
Libor Volf

Martin Fenin
Jirí Jeslínek

Do you know anything about these players?

Michal Svec is talented defensive midfielder of Slavia Prague, he has already played in the league and even in UEFA cup. Very hot prospect.

Martin Fenin is a small forward from Teplice, very skillful but also very thin and small. He should eat more and grow...

The others - I don't know.

That's what they say about me! Except I'm tall.

Does he have a hard shot?

And about me as well. If he has a hard shot? Oh sorry, I've seen him once, he played 20 minutes that time. I'll inform you later.

Under 19 didn't make it to EURO

After one victory and one lost we had to beat Italy. Despite having a great game and being in the lead thanks to the goal of Papadopulos it was a draw 1-1 anyway. We finished 3rd in our group.

Italy - Czech republic 1-1 (24' p Alberti - 14' Papadopulos)

Černý - Racko, Neuwirth, Chleboun, Pudil - Varadi (73. Fillo), Kobylík, Štohanzl, Quasten - Papadopulos, Malcharek (60. Holenda)

I know Neuwirth (baník), Fillo (Plzen), Varadi (Baník), Kobylík (the younger brother of David), Papadopulos (spent a year on loan with Arsenal, owned by Baník) and Malcharek (Sparta "B").

Under-17's

Hi guys,

I’m trying to find information about the best young talents in world football, and you guys all seem very knowledgeable in your own leagues. Could you suggest any quality under-17’s who you think could make it to the top?

I write for http://www.futbolmundial.co.uk and I’m developing a section called ‘Player Profiles’ involving the best young players of tomorrow. I’ve got the usual suspects like Rooney, Diego, Kaka etc, but I’m after the under-17’s who many readers will not yet know.

If any of you can help, that would be great!

Thanks
Rob

Under-17 is too young. I can help with older players if you want but it is impossible to know anything about Under-17's unless they come from your place.

There are many exciting young players at thze age of 21-24 but under-19's aren't proven in our league yet. I can post just names because I haven't seen neither of them play.
