Czech teams in Europe: 2010/2011/2012/2013 series

Sparta will probably face CSKA Moscow in 3rd qualifying round. (or Sofia)

Slavia has to eliminate Leotar and then would face Celta Vigo.
-------------

CSKA looks unstoppable as they bought Ivica Olic today and their squad is again stronger.
Slavia will face Leotar this wednesday, I am looking forward to watch it!
-----------
Both teams have very tough way to Champions league, we have to hope for t least one succesor.

Slavia played really good match in the league on Saturday as they dominated over Zizkov.

My ideal team:

------------------ Cerny
Dosek --- Bejbl ---- Petrous --- Hrdlicka
Pitak ----- Dostalek --- Gedeon - Skacel
----------- Adauto ----- Kuka

Can I post results of the Slavia-Leotar game in this thread?

Also, there was a really interesting result between Vardar and CSKA Moscow!

Post as much as possible Sigma

Slavia goes to the next round and I feel really confident about that. Seems like an unstoppable team. Celta is tough opponent but chances are in my eyes 50:50.

Sparta will face Skopje, not CSKA! Woo hoo!!!! 70:30 here!

Is there possiblity to have 2 teams in the Champi for the first time? It is...

hi guys, i wish you good luck for the game against Vardar.
of course, we know you are the favorites. but we won't show the white flag !
more seriously, what do you think of your team this year ? are you satisfied with the departures/arrivals ? i've read grygera left and nemec and poborski were coming.

you're also all welcome to our forum.

Sparta is much stronger than last year, that is the fact. But we can´t overlook sight crisis on the beggining of the season. What a luck with their 2-3 victory with Vardar...

Slavia is on the other hand shining team but without any chance to qualify... Celta - Slavia 3-0!

Sparta plays (in these days) with 2 defensive midfielders and two typical strikers. So zthere are goals but it is absolutely ****ing and horrible to watch. Do they still play football?

It is 4-4-2 like this:

GK - Blazek (experinced, very good)
RB - Petras (central back, great back, horrible in crossing and supporting ofence)
CB - Hübschman (talent, complete defender)
CB - Johana (sometimes nervous, not skillfull, but tough boy with strengh, good)
LB - Poledica or Zboncak (problem)
RM - Poborsky (captain, star, playmaker, but alone he must do everything on his own)
CM - Nemec (37-year-old, very experinced, very useful)
CM - Kovac (21-year-old, fight, fight, fight)
LM - Jezek (typical winger)
FW - Jun (20-year-old talent, plays in our league since he was 17, but no improvement there. Goalscorer)
ST - Igor Gluscevic (Ex-Utrecht player, bomber but so far, he has not a lot of passes from midfield, so he has scored only twice...)

Sparta - Chelsea 0-1 (85. Gallas)

Sparta fought a lot, one of their best matches of this season, but it wasn´t enough to beat or score just a single point with Chelski. English team started with pretty defensive line-up...

---------------- Cudiccini ---------------
Johnson - Gallas - Desailly - Bridge
------------ Makelele ---------- Petit
Geremi ------------ Veron -----------
--------- Mutu ------ Crespo ---------

Sparta...

-------------------- Blazek ------------------
Petras - Hübschman - Johana - Labant
Poborsky -- Kovac -- Nemec -- Michalik
----------- Gluscevic ---- Jun --------------

Veron and Petit were trying long passes for Crespo or Mutu but no success here, second way to goal was via wings Bridge + ??? and Geremi + Johnson. Chelsea couldn´t beat Sparta' defence as czech team very very good back. Especialy Johana was awesome (IMO man of the match) and Chelsea had only 20% chances. On the other hand Sparta was absolutely disable to produce anything to score. It was 2-1 on (little) chances in the first half. Mutu' header, Crespo shot from the edge and Kovac' header.

Adrian Mutu couldn´t play his typical football as he had any space and in addition he was not 100% fit, so he was subbed in half-time. So was Petit. Duff and Lampard came and Chelski changed to...

---------------- Cudiccini ---------------
Johnson - Gallas - Desailly - Bridge
-------- Makelele - Lampard ---------
Geremi ------- Veron ------------ Duff
---------------- Crespo -----------------

For Sparta, Petras (RB) went down and was subbed by Sionko (RM). So Kovac went to RB, Poborsky went to CM and Sionko RM. More ofensive but the team who take possesions was Chelsea. They pushed more and more and chances came. Blocked pass from Duff and two good ocasions was Crespo were not finished into the net, but after Duff´ cross it was Gallas who scored comfortably after sub Haisselbank had touched the ball.

Man of the match:
Sparta - Petr Johana
Chelsea - Johnson

Lazio:
--------------------- Peruzzi --------------------
Oddo ----- Stam ---- Mihajlovic ----- Favalli
Conceicao -- Albertini - Stankovic --- Fiore
------------Muzzi ------- Corradi --------------

Sparta:
--------------------- Blazek ---------------------
Flachbart - Hubschman - Johana - Labant
Poborsky --- Kovac -- Zelenka --- Zboncak
--------------- Kincl ------- Jun -----------------

or

----------- Kovac ----------- Krmas ------------
Poborsky ---------- Zelenka --------- Sionko
---------------------- Kincl -----------------------

I hope Italia will win another couple of matches today, including victory of Lazio. Merda Sparta!

Too bad Sparta couldn't hold on for the win. One point at Lazio is still a good result because they (Sparta) had to hold on the last 30 minutes. Sparta now has to win both games at home and hope for another result on the road.

Libor Sionko scored for Sparta in the 27th minute. Poborsky scored less then ten minutes later to give Sparta a 2-0 lead. :fero:

Sparta played with formation 4-2-3-1, Zelenka (back from an injury) played as a playmaker. This change of formation helped to improve whole team and Sparta was much better side in the first half and might have won first half 3-0 or more. In the seconh 45 minutes, Lazio deserved to equalize and they made it. 2-2 is final result.

LAZIO - SPARTA 2-2 (0-2) 46. Inzaghi, 61. (p) Inzaghi - 27. Sionko, 35. Poborsky

My rating:

Peruzzi - 5

Oddo - 7
Stam - 6
Mihajlovic - 5,5
Favalli - 4,5

Fiore - 6
Albertini - 5 (I don't know - mr. invisible as usual)
(Liverani 5,5)
Stankovic - 5
Conceicao - 5

Corradi - 7
Inzaghi - 6,5

-------------------------------

Blazek - 6

Flachbart - 4
Hübschman - 6
Johana - 5,5
Labant - 5,5

Kovac - 6
Pergl - 6,5

Sionko - 7
Zelenka - 7
Poborsky - 7,5

Kincl - 6

Do you think Teplice has any chance to beat Feyenoord?

Slavia should be able to beat Levski Sofia, but it will be a close two games.

I don't know how Slavia, but FK Teplice win because Feyenoord isn't so strong as few years ago.

Welcome Collin

Especially after many stars have left. We'll see but well oraganized Teplice are favourite in my eyes.

I don't know much about Levski. I have to ask in bulgarian forum. I see it like 60-40.
