I was so excited to hear that Sparta Praha defeated Lazio to make the second round! Now I just have to hope that we get at least one Sparta game on TV here in Canada.

What a breathtaking match!!! I had at least 3 orgasms. Albertini' shot or Blazek' save were miracle.

Congrats to Sparta also from me, Czech football makes me feel well!

Great Result - I saw the highlights on TV. Blazek's save was incredible - and it was a good header as well by Kincl to get the goal. It seemed like it was a very good atmosphere at the Letna - especially when Kincl scored.

Yeah, full house, excitement, nice football. My classmate was there- he said that it was one of the best match if we think about atmosphere. Fans were great!

Sparta signs Knakal!!!

I know that this is a 'solo Bresciano' thread because you can't know him but what a move! Petr Knakal is very talented central back. I saw him in the match against Slavia and my god he was impressive. Sparta signes one of the most talented backs in our league, Sparta signs a player who will move for the big club later. Sparta signs a fine player. He will play until the end of the season in Plzen but then move to Sparta.

Congrats Sparta bastards!

Juventus was interested in Knakal as well. They might have signed him for not very much money but they haven't. Mistake. If they want him they have to wait 2 yearsand his prize will be 4 times higher. Typical Sparta...

Knakal was born 1.2. 1983, he has played 14 matches for Plzen this year and scored 2 spectacular goals. He's regular for '20 national team.

Not many people know about Knakal. I do .

Cost for Sparta Praha tickets (Champions League)

I noticed that the cheapest ticket is about 400kc, which strikes me as being rather expensive for the average Czech? Is this is the case?

It's expensive. I (many others) decided not to go there just because of the prize but you know- it will be a big match, there will be sold out for sure.

Tickets to better sectors cost even more, almost 1000 CZK.

1000kc!

People are going to show up to watch AC Milan not matter what the price is. I suppose it is important for Sparta to try to make some money off of the CL matches.

I remember paying only 10kc to watch Novy Sady (suburb of Olomouc)... granted.... they played in the 7th division (or something like that).

Nope, I had to pay 10kc. I didn't mind because it was going to the club and they obviously needed the money. Picture from the game....

My mistake, it wasn't Novy Sady... it was their "B" team...

Haha

I don't like football on this level- I mean watching it. But I play football on that level.

I'm going to visit probably the match Cecké Budejovice - Sparta, there is a reconstructed stadium, not a big one but nice.

Sparta pre-season

The coach of Sparta Straka told to TV Nova a month ago that he would sign as many players as he has toes. (5 ) The most important thing was to renew the contract with Karel Poborský. Despite being wanted in Qatar (€3.250.000 for a season ) he will probably stay because the coach really wants him and told him not to leave in any case. Second important thing was to sign a replacement for a central back Hübschman, who was sold to Shakhtar. The new back is called Koubský , he was a captain of former '21 and he is a huge talent comming from Tescoma Zlín. Even Millwall and Shakhtar wanted to buy him. He comes to Sparta on loan. People here follow mainly Sparta, Slavia and Baník but if they watched even smaller teams they would surely agree with me that Koubský is a superb defender. Third player is Michal Meduna. Another very young player, he is a tall striker comming from FC Slovácko (Synot UH). He showed his skills at the end of the season, he is useful in the air, he has a good ball control (actually not that good but good enough for such a high player) and he can score. But he is still an average player who will very probably grow. 4th player should be a LB, but nobody has come yet. We don't know who should it be. And the 5th? Creative attacking midfielder? It had to be Milan Pacanda of Brno or Sparta own product Filip Dort. Pacanda is very expensive (€1.700.000) and Dort will be loaned out probably so it will be ex-Bayer Leverkusen player and total idiot, who has been drinking in pubs in my town (really I've seen him many times in his Mercedes or drunken in late nights) for 8 months, Jan Šimák. He was a god in Hannover 2 years ago, he made a debut in the NT, he seemed to be a star of Czech football but he disappeared and started to drink a lot. Not for the first (and not the last) time in his life. Now he tries his luck in Sparta but I don't believe he has good enough physical qualities after such a long period without football. We will see but I don't actually rate this signing that good. And I forgot that they signed a young midfielder from Jablonec Herzán and back from loan from the same club is a central back Hochmeister. Sparta has a good squad but I still see few problems. Left back, right back, creative midfielder and forward. But I believe they will solve it all. Unfortunately.

MILAN PACANDA IS A SPARTA PLAYER!
Very talented forward from Brno (26-year-old) Milan Pacanda has finally left Brno and will play for Sparta. Brno asked for €1.700.000 but Sparta refused. Now he is a Sparta player and we wonder how much did they pay. It is a great signing, Pacanda is a czech Chevanton I would say. He was a wondering talent as a teenager but he broke his leg then and didn't play for 2 years. After years his form is getting better and better and he has been wanted everywhere for 2 years now. Finally he's gone. Fantastic news for football, Sparta is finally an atractive side!

Blažek
Johana - Koubský - Homola - Labant
Poborský - Kováč - Sivok (Šimák or Zelenka) - Michalík
Pacanda - Jun

Milan Pacanda - 28/02/78
matches: 158
goals: 48

last 3 seasons:
2003/04 ... 25 matches / 12 goals
2002/03 ... 21 matches / _7 goals
2001/02 ... 24 matches / 13 goals

Sparta Praha - intro music

Hiho guys

I need an information - which music is played with Sparta Praha when the players are entering the field ?

Can you tell me that ? If yes, do you might even have a mp3 file (at best a "live" version, directly from the stadium, with fans in background) ?

I'd really thank you for any information, I need it urgently

Thanks in advance and greez from Germany
