Friendly - Egypt take on Zimbabwe

On Thursday evening, 7 pm. Match will be held at Alexandria stadium, one of the tournament's venues.

Zimbabwe will replace Ghana who we were supposed to play, yet the Ghanian FA were unable to call-up most of their foreign based players so sadly the game's off and we'll have to settle for a piss poor Zimbabwe instead of the Black Stars. I don't know if they'll bother to call some of their europe based players or just field their B team...

Anyway, this would be my line-up

Hadary in goal

I.Said, Saka and Goma'a in defence.

Ahmed Fathi and Abdel Wehab as Wingbacks.

midfield trio of Hassan Mostafa, Ahmed Hassan and Treika.

Amr Zaki and Meteb in attack.

Mido is still unavailable, while Barakat and Shawqy are both recovering from injuries. Hosny Abd Rabo will join the training camp on the 6th of January, one day after the match.

Juventus were relegated to Serie B along with their reputation.

Nice line-up youve got. I read Zimbabwe is coming with their full squad and will be missing only one of their pro's.

Egypt 2-0 Zimbabwe

Abdel Halim Ali scoring both goals after coming on for an injured Amr Zaki.

Far from convincing performance, we were uninspired for the most part and never stepped up a gear.

First half was average whilst the second was atrocious. Though it must be said that we could've easily won this 5-0 had Meteb, Treika and Barakat been more fortunate with their chances. Zimbabwe's goalie also had a solid game, too bad his defence let him down on many occasions.

ratings

Hadary 7.5
Heema 5
Goma'a 6.5
El Saka 6
Abdel Wehab 7
Barakat 5.5
Samir Sabry 6
Fathi 6
Treika 6
Amr Zaki n/a
Meteb 6

Abdel Halim 8

None of the other subs really made an impact so I won't bother rating any of them.
