Cameroon - Egypt

Decisive World Cup Qualifier...for Cameroon that is. :depress:

The Indomitable Lions must win at home to make it to Germany. If they draw or lose, Ivory Coast will qualify if they win in Sudan (which is expected)

Mido, Abdel Halim Ali, Emad El Nahas and Amir Azmy will all miss the match.

Expected line-up

----Hadary----

Fathy-----Gomaa---El Saka----El Sayed

----------Shawqy-----Abd Rabo------

Ahmed Hassan---Zidan---Abdel Malek

----Emad Mete'b---

Eurosport will show the match live at 15:00 CET.

Although that line-up would definately bring us the 3 points from Yaunde, i doubt we will see it. Our coaches always tend to avoid fielding our strongest squad for some unknown reason..

Cameroon players confident

Cameroon's players are confident that they can beat Egypt in their final World Cup qualifier on and qualify for their sixth World Cup finals.

The Indomitable Lions lead Group Three of the qualifiers with 20 points after beating Ivory Coast in Abidjan last month 3-2.

"Some of us may be a little bit tired but we are confident we will win Saturday's game," said captain and Galatasaray defender Rigobert Song.

"After having done so well in Abidjan, we can't disappoint the people now.

"So, tell the Cameroonians to count on us for victory."

Osasuna's Achille Webo, who scored all three goals against the Ivory Coast, said: "We all know it will be a tricky game which will not be as easy for us as some people may think.

"But we are professionals and we know what to do.

"We know we are only 90 minutes away from Germany 2006. That is why there is no room for error. Come what may, we will make it."

Ivory Coast must win in Sudan and hope Cameroon lose or draw their game in Yaounde to reach the finals for the first time.

I think the biggest advantage Cameroon will have over us going into this game is motivation. We have what it takes to make this an equal match till the final whistle, but with the Cameroonian players all pumped up, and a packed stadium in Yaounde, i find it challenging to get a result, not only for us but for any team. If we do win this game then we surely will prove that we were worthy of a WC spot, if it wasn't for Tardelli's mistakes and some bad luck.

I gather you Pharoahs are out of contention for a WC spot?

"I went to a football school 60 miles away from where I lived. I practised 12 hours a day, training both feet so thoroughly, that I no longer know which is better. At Sparta Prague, I would retake the field after a match and train until the floodlights were extinguished."
