CL - Matchday 6

Ahly and Zamalek have already booked their semi-final spots, along with Etoile Sahel.

Ahly hosts holders Enyimba in Cairo on Sunday. A point from this match would seal Enyimba's fate and send Raja out of the competition. We're already assured of first place.

In group B, Zamalek need one point in sousse to top the standings. Etoile HAVE to win, if they want to avoid playing us in the semis.

Raja are crap, they won't win in Cape Town. If they're lucky they'll draw which means buh-bye CL.

Just look how they blew their leads AT HOME against Ajax and Ahly.

Pathetic. At this level you can't afford to make school boy errors at the back.

Yup. I do believe it btw.

His form has been dipping for a while now, chicks have to be a reason.

I also heard that he takes drugs !

Not performance enhancing drugs (steroids), but weed..

Anyway, we should sell him and make big bucks the moment we're done with the Champions league (and hopefully the WCC in Japan)

It's always the case with Egyptian players, once the become famous they start to be rebellious.Mido,Met3eb,......etc.
I really think we should sell him after the CAF champions league, specially if the what was written on el-ahly.com about Hilal and Iti7ad(saudi arabia) who have expressed their interest to sign him.
Have you realised that in the past 4 years none of our strikers managed to keep his form for more than 1 season:

2002 Bibo
2003 Belal
2004 Osama Hosny
2005 Met3eb
2006 ????

Etoile 2-1 Zamalek

Etoile top the group and will face either Enyimba or Raja in the semis while Zamalek will face Al Ahly.

Now THAT is one hell of a matchup...

Asec 1-0 Esperance, like anyone gives a damn...

Tomorrow Ahly will host Enyimba and Raja will play Ajax CT.

Ahly 2-1 Enyimba

Despite the piss poor performance we won the match via an Ossama Hosny brace.

Essam el-Hadary was BY FAR man of the match.

Raja won 3-0 in CT and qualified as runners up behind us ( and proved me wrong in the process :embarass: )

Juventino, yeah I guess we'll play in AC stadium as it's bigger than Railways stadium.

Those will be two tense matches.

A great win to show everybody that we have 2 equal teams and a strong message to the others!!
It was an average performance not a piss poor one considering the absences we had.

Ajax Cape Town 0-3 Raja???!!! That match was certainly fixed!

Well, we certainly do have the best subs compared to all Egyptian clubs.

But equal would be stretching it a bit don't you think ?

Nah, it was below average especially the entire second half. Hadary saved our from a drubbing.

I'm not that worried though as we played with team B.

Apparently Ajax had a number of key players injured and rested so...

It's a tad suspicious though as Ajax held both Enyimba and Ahly to draws in Cape Town.

btw, man, try posting more.

I don't know Sabry and Ahlawy's whereabouts...

Actually we do have the best bench among all the African clubs and that's enough for me.

Raja also sold some of thier players few days ago! So no way they would beat Ajax in South Africa never mind a 0-3 thrashing.
Anyway I am just happy that Enyimba are kicked out.
