Well, as Sabry explained beforehand, this season has been fecking amazing for the club.
We didn't lose a game in all competitions (we did crash out of the Egyptian Cup on a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw) and finished 31 points clear
:eekani: :eekani: of the second placed team. Our arch rivals ( Zamalek
) finished 6th
which also helped to make this season even sweeter and more memorable.
We have the best attack with 59 goals in 26 matches, the strongest defence as we only conceded 13 goals . We went on a run of 17 consecutive victories
and we didn't lose a game since June 2004 in all competitions. Not to mention beating the shit out of Zamalek, twice.
Now our main objective is to win the African Champions league this year
, as the winner will play in the World Club Championship which will take place in Tokyo, Japan in December. Imagine Al-Ahly Vs. BBilan
, we're so gonna trash them mother ****ers and will show the entire world who the real devils are.
Hehe, nuff dreaming for now.
As for you question about Nigerian and Kenyan clubs. Well, Kenyan clubs suck in club competitions because they're not strong financially and Kenya aren't exactly famous for their footballing tradition. Nigeria have always been amazing on international level, and that's because all of their good players are based in Europe. Which basically leaves their clubs empty of talent.
On the other hand, North African clubs are powerhouses. I'd compare Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco to the big three leagues in Europe (relatively speaking), as the big clubs in those three nations have always had strong financial backing and that's why they've usually dominated the continent, apart from a few years.
