Best Egyptian player?

Which of your players do you think will haave the best career and make the biggest impact in his career?

We all know about Mido, who was better than Zlatan during his stay at Ajax but personal reasons have seen basically not really making the impact he should have made at Marseille and now at Roma, he's back-up to Montella isn't he?

Then you have Ahmed Hossam right, at Besiktas, who's done well there but woud you say he'd be able to do well too in a big league?

Then also Hossam Ghaly at Feyenoord who I think is very talented and complete for a midfielder and who'll also go the furthest out of all but that's probably just my bias.

Then the guy who can't stop dribbling in Denmark. Forgot his name

Who else do you have who the rest of the world should look out for? and from them all, who will have the best career out of them all?

Lex Immers - Pace & power. Holland's #1 box to box player

Feyenoord forum - the place to talk about this phenomenon

From what I have seen, Mido.

But more things have to go his way in his career, Still at 21 he has time on his side.

Well there are many unknown ones, since most of our best player play their football at local giants Ahly/Zamalek/Ismaily. If we're talking about young players with great future ahead, then i'd surely put Ismaily's duo, Ahmed Fathy and Hosny AbdRabu, at the top of the list.

Ahmed Fathy is an RB, who was trialed at Arsenal earlier this season but didnt make the move (for financial reasons I belive). He was also chosen by World Soccer Magazine among the best 50 youngsters in the World. Hosny AbdRabu also plays at Ismaily and has been scouted by many teams, namely PSG who looked the most serious side.

Beside thos two, who will probably move to Europe very soon and make an impact, there is Wael Reyad who you probably heard of if you ever played Championship Manager, or if youve watched the Fifa 2001 U-21 World Cup. He has to be one of the most talented Egyptian players around but he hasnt gotten his chance yet at Ahly. Then comes Amr Zaki, current #9 striker of the NT at the age of 22. He plays for ENPPI and is wanted by Dynamo Kyiev.

Other good names would be AbuTrieka, Ahly's midfielder, he's incredibely talented, but a little older than the others (25 I think). Also Gamal Hamza FC, Amir Azmy DC, (both Zamalek), and Hossam Ashour of Ahly, a brilliant defensive midfielder with amazing potential and only 18 years old. Finally come Emad Meteb, Ahly 20 year-old striker, who scored a historical goal Vs England in the 2003 U-21 WC after dribbling past about 6-7 English players, and Ahmed Samir Farag who is also a 19-year old striker who plays for Sochoux of France.

Hope I helped you a little

I couldn't ask for more! thanks for the insight Ahlawy

continuing on about the Egyptians already abroad, are Ghaly, Mido and the one at Besiktas by far the best ones or are there a couple more ?
there was one at Rostock a few years ago and Ramzy played at Kaiserslautern for a long time but he's getting on a bit I think.

Mido, Ghaly, and Ahmed Hassan, when on form, are the best. Add to them Zidan of course. Theres also AbdelZaher El Saka, defender at Genclibirligi, who also has a good consistent form. Then we got the average players, about 5 others in Turkey, and some more in Belgium, France, and Slovakia. Thats about it I guess.

The forward Mohamed Sharif (born november 18th 1985) used to play for FC Nordsjوlland and perhaps he was also youth player at the club Kّge 3 years back, I belive he's listed as a Danish citizen.

Wassim El Banna (born may 10th 1979) has besides Dalum also played for Aarhus Fremad, B1913 and OB Odense and also won 1 cap for the Danish U21 NT.... so he's a Danish citizen, If he was born in Egypt I dont know...

Hi shabab, what about Ahmed Belal he's been linked with many moves to Europa any news on him from our very reliable press?

Btw Zidan is probably the most talented of the bunch, he just got choosen as player of the year in Denmark and has been at least 2 levels above all other players in the league. I really hope he moves on soon but i still don't know if I should call him Egyptian yet he's weird but i REALLY REALLY hope he gets his head straightened out and plays for Egypt.

Actually...

Around a week ago, FC Midtjylland's striker Mohamed Zidan was awarded the "Profile of the half-season" award for the second consecutive half-season.
