He seems quite mature and has good decision making actually for a teenager, but yeah overall talent I dont think he is anything special talent wise, doesnt stand out really but he is ahead of the pack just for simply getting valuable experience and development time in top level as a teen, immediately starting is good for rapid maturing. Tho it doesnt say much about his overall quality due to lack of competition/opportune injury to the terrible Mount Olive, its still a good sign he has shown enough competence to retain his spot. Seen him almost get bullied in some games, but has enough sense to not get too rattled and make simple passes to retain possesion.

Its good he has taken claim for holding role, because defenitely think he would look quite out of sorts if he was moved to b2b/more mobile role, his limitations would be highlighted more.

Gagliardini has been looking like a useful player for the NT: comfortable with the ball, good physique. Might be able to be next marchisio in being comfortable in most midfield positions.

I've always had mixed feelings about berardi. His statistics are impressive but when i see him play i see a thomas locatelli standard player. He's not that similar to him but by that i mean he sometimes looks very ordinary. Nice left foot but could be a bit quicker. I prefer bernardeschi and chiesa over him right now.

Yeah, Berardi looks like a lost cause right now. Hopefully he gets back on track, but if he doesn't, we seem to have options even without him.

PLenty of options on the wings now.

Also, I really really like Spinazzola. So fast and so much better than di sciglio.

Also - Caldara and Rugani are for me superior to romagnoli.

DEANO..welcome back

im back in part time mode :P

Yes that looks like a probable selection by ventura.I could see that being the exact selection TBH. Wish De Scidlio would F off this NT though. Also, i think Barzagli will from now on feature from the bench.

it's time to give an opportunity to Andrea Conti and tell Candreva to kindly sit on the bench (at best).

I would not mind that Toni, also obviously when Florenzi returns, probably next season, he will be back in contention for that RWB slot.

Depends on the formation ventura puts out there.

Conti could be a wingback while chiesa takes candrevas position.

Zappacosta and Barreca have looked less than international quality in recent months. Chiesa destroyed barreca in the last game.

yeah, Barreca has been destroyed by a lot of opponents lately, to the extent that I'm starting to question his qualites, but that takes nothing away from Enrique Iglesia's son.

Yes, great to know the change in scenery is working out for him.

Four in 3 league games, and 6 in 4 overall.

Pathetic that he and others need to leave Italy to find their best form and shine.

It works if you work it.

It's not about that, he is not Napoli level that's all. He was, scoring plenty for Sampdoria too, Southampton level.

Things are not that simple. that said, it is possible he cant handle pressure well. Because when I saw him for Napoli he looked shellshocked.

That could have been a contributing factor but I believe Gabbiadini did not fit into Sarri's tactics. Sarri prefers a front trio made up of two pure wingers and a pure CF. Gabbiadini doesn't fit either of these molds - the guy is a seconda punta. Under Benitez, Gabbiadini would most often play behind Higuain in the 4-2-3-1 and actually did quite well in his first half season at Napoli. At Southampton, Gabbiadini is impressing playing as the focal point of the attack. Yes, his form could be a result of being the best player on a mediore team - but if his goalscoring keeps up, Ventura definitely has to give him a look.

Belotti, Immobile, Gabbiadini, Insigne, Bernardeschi, Chiesa, Berardi...all of a sudden Italia seems to have proper options in attack.

very nice to see deano back, I like his team as well. Gagliardini in midfield looks like a nice addition to the depth of the NT.
