BIH vs Finland 20:00cet from Zenica

BTW the reconstruction at Bilino Polje has began. They will be adding 9,000 seats too by the time the qualification begans, so thats all great. We have a great record there and the public is great.

I'd love to see Skoro called and given a chance, I want to see what he can do.

Yeah i'd like to know if he could perform at the big level and if his quality is only BiHPL quality.

Good news for Bilino Polje, what's gonna be the overall capacity?

Ed i don't think the overall capacity of the stadium will increase, i'm pretty sure that they are only increasing the seating capacity by installing chairs where people used to stand to watch the game.
30 000? wow that's pretty good i always thought it was about 20 000

i just realised that i posed my question to you wrongfully before, i meant to ask you whats the seating capacity going to be? sorry mate

No problem. I looked at some sources and most show 30,000, some 35,000.

Bilino Polje had 15,000 seats before reconstruction started. It will be upgraded to 25,000 seats.

yeah, didn't look that huge to me, but every source I checked showed that.

That is not a bad number. It may be 25,000, but they make the amount of noise for 50,000.

Bosnian send-off for Hibic

Wednesday, 21 April 2004
Bosnia-Herzegovina coach Blaz Sliškovic has recalled Galatasaray SK forward Elvir Baljic and FC Shinnik Yaroslavl defender Emir Spahic for the friendly against Finland on 28 April.

Goodbye to Hibic
Former national-team captain Mirsad Hibic will also make a brief farewell appearance in the match, which will be played in his hometown of Zenica. The 30-year-old surprisingly retired from playing after leaving Club Atlético de Madrid in January.

'Go for a victory'
"This is one of our last matches before the one against Spain which will mark the start of our 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. We will go for a victory to give our captain Hibic the best possible farewell gift," said Sliškovic.

Bosnia-Herzegovina squad
Konjic, Papac, Music, Spahic, Bajramovic, Grujic, Beslija, Hrgovic, Barbarez, Salihamidzic, Biscevic, Misimovic, Grlic, Bolic, Baljic, Blatnjak.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some BIH Premier League players will be added to this list, I believe Sunday or Monday.

Hello from Helsinki my Bosnian friends !!!! Should be a good match !!!! Both teams have some very interesting players. We are loosing Mikael Forssell in attack but I hope Johansson & Niemi will be successful in this match !!

BIH 0-0 HT

In the first half BIH got 2 good chances, and Finland got 1. The possesion ended up about 50-50%. The free kicks midway through were largley infavour of BIH(6-0). Finland were commiting quiet a few fouls (on one of them a yellow card was handed out).

BIH 1-0 Finland FT Goals: Misimovic 88' (BIH)

BIH had a much stronger second half than Finland, and got many more chances. Could have had 2-3 goals in that half. A great performance by BIH.

Not a bad performance by Finland, but again in that second half, midway through, Finland got caught offside 6 times, and BIH none. In the first half, too many fouls, so BIH had many free kicks and got momentum of that.

Great games by a lot of players, we really showed we have a lot of pretty good depth, unlike other times.

I'll talk abit more about the game later.

Video Highlights

http://sport.cile.at/video/video.php?id=bih_finska_1-0

Nice goodybe gift for Hibic. They stopped the game at 6 minutes in, (thats his number) and he was then greeted by the players, then left the field. Nice that late in the game the win was accomplished.
