BiH team make-up?

Hey guys, sorry about starting a new thread if it's already been discussed but I had a question regarding the team make-up up BiH as it is now. (and no I am not wanting to this to lead into some political crap)

I assume most of the players are Bosnian Muslims? I think maybe there are a number of Cros and maybe even a few serbs on the team. What is the composistion of the current team?

Thanks

I was just wondering how can a Bosnjak be a Croat?

Bosnjak is a very popular Croatian sur-name... I have friends named Josip Bosnjak from Sinj and an Ante Bosnjak from Hercegovina. There is another Vancouver Croatia player, Darko Jelic, who is first cousins with Ivan Bosnjak, the former Hajduk player...

Sergej isn't a very uncommon Serbian name, and I know a few Barbarez Serbs, but I'm not really sure about this guy....

Is he really in the national team?:eekani: He is playing in the dinamo second team at the moment. He didn't even get called up for preseason training with the first team.

When he was signed they were saying he will be the next Roberto Carlos or something like that.

This list that was put up has quiet a few players that dont get called to the National team anymore:

Sliskovic for example said he would never call Piplica and Akrapovic again. Mujcin may be done as well. Krivic I dont remember many times, u get the point.

Barbarez's dad is Russian and his mom is Bosnian. I dont know if Bosnian Muslim/Serb/ or Croat. He was born in Bosnia too.

Baka never said he would not call Piplica, he did say he would not call the Partizan player that never turned up to the hotel in SA.

I remember hearing this, regardless, Piplica is 4th on the depth chart when it comes to goalkeepers:

Hasagic
Guso
Tolja
Piplica

Just to add, I dont think the make-up of religions is important at all.

The fact remains everybody is Bosnian/Hercegovinian.

Anybody regardless of your religion can get the citizenship of BIH.

I mean just look at Canada, they have players from everywhere playing from them, they dont do this kind of stuff by looking at the background, the only thing that matters is everybody has the Canadian citizenship.

If any soccer player on this world somehow feels a connection to BIH and wants to get the citizenship and play proudly for it, I have no problem with that.

After the game with Denmark, Oslobodjenje had an interview with him. He stated that he is a Bosnian Serb born in Mostar and that he is very proud to play for his country; BiH.
