Basel - Rabotnicki Kometal, for the Groups

Rabotnicki avioded Palermo, Feyenoord Rotterdam and Osasuna witch i wanted.... I wanted Rapid since they are weaker then last year but next after Rapid i wanted Basel...

So the drow are good....

Basel have started very poor in the liga,, 2 wins, one drow and 3 losses,,, the did hardley knock out Vaduz,,, 1-0 at home and 2-1 loss away,, and Vaduz play in the SUI 2 liga.....

They have some very good players but still they play very poor so far at least,,, i hope ther poor form will continue for some more weeks at least..

Red Star, Partizan and Dinamo where all very luckey with the drow,,, Rabotnicki as well..

With the form Basel are in i would say chances are at least 50/50 !!! same as before the game against Debracin...

Yes, great draw for Rabotnicki.
Basel was great team in the past years, but in the last period they are totaly out of form.
Rabotnicki will defend in the first match and if they get good result from there I can see the big surprise in the first round of the UEFA Cup.

how are they playing poor? Petric is one of the leagues top scorers, they are not having a good league season but they did make the quarterfinals last season of the UEFA Cup and easily beat a club from "our" region

Well guys, I think that is a lucky draw.
Better than get a German, Italian, Spanish or English Team.

Basel (6 points) is already 5 Points away from Young Boys Bern and St. Gallen (1st and second place with 11 points) in the Swiss Leauge.

They had luck against the second leauge team Vaduz, in the last round.

And also the best Players gone this season:

IN:
Burgmeier >> FC Aarau
Caicedo >> Rocafuerte FC
Buckley >> Borussia Dortmund
Costanzo >> Deportivo Alavés
Grippo >> FC Basel II (U21)
Baumann >> FC Basel II (U21)
Cristiano >> Roda JC Kerkrade
Sommer >> FC Basel II (U21)

OUT:
Mesbah >> FC Aarau
Baykal >> 1.FC Köln
Quennoz >> Neuchâtel Xamax
Preisig >> FC Aarau
Meili >> Concordia Basel
Zuberbühler >> West Bromwich Albion
Delgado >> Besiktas Istanbu
Degen >> Borussia Mönchengladbach
Kléber >> FC Santos

Well, the Best players last season are all gone like:

Baykal, was a good DM, now Teammmate of Mitreski

'Zubi' Zuberbühler played on the WC 2006 and was the only GK there, which don't get a goal in the regular game, except in the Penalties

Delegado ,Playmaker, made the most goals for Basel last season I think

Degen, RM, one of the keyplayers in the Swiss NT and in Basel

Kléber, LV, has already 7 NT games for Brazil and was also a keyplayer

Well and the new Players which signed have no chance to replace all this good players from last season. But Buckley which have 60NT games for South Africa is a very good signing, With Bielefeld he was one of the best strikers in the Bundeliga 1-2 years ago

They aren't in good form now and they lost important keyplayers from last season. I think Rabotnicki has a 50-50chance, nobody is the favourite....

FC Bayern München 07/08

---------------Kahn (C)--------------
Sagnol----Lucio----v. Buyten----Lahm
Ribery-v. Bommel-Ze Roberto-Schweini
-------Klose---------------Toni-------

Basel lost 5 key players from last year and that could be why they have so bad form,, maybe they simply are not better.. I know Delgado scord 80 % of ther goals last year....

Not only the poor results in the liga so far,, and the poor play against Vaduz in uefa cup,,, they also hade problems with Tabol from Kazakstan in the first uefa cup round...

0-0 in Kazakstan and 3-1 in Basel,,, result wos 1-1 when Basel gott penalty in the 70 min !

I change my statement,,,

60/40 Rabotnicki !! Rabotnicki are favourite

I know Daniel Majstorovic very well (not private i mean ) he playd for Malmö FF in sweden and are now starter in Basel, they signed him this year. he is a terrible defender !! extremely slow and no technique !! only good with his head on set peaces..... If Basel have one more of his type in defence then they have a similar defence as Debracin and then Rabotnicki will hurt them badly in the fast contra attack game as they did to Debracin....

Belive me,, Rabotnicki just need the righet information about this, scan them good !!!

Basel let in many goals in the liga and i,m not suprised !

Drama in St. Gallen as Pelister fight back
Thursday, 23 August 2001
e-mailPrint

There was high drama in Switzerland as Macedonian side FK Pelister came close to pulling off an amazing comeback against home side FC St. Gallen in the UEFA Cup qualifying round.

Overwhelming advantage
St. Gallen already had the luxury of a 2-0 aggregate lead going into the match, and they increased their advantage to 4-0 shortly after half-time.

Over and out
The Swiss side seemed to have killed the tie after their double strike. First, Romanian international striker Ionel Gane latched onto a long kick from Olivier Stöckli to slide the ball home.

Four up
Then, four minutes later, Gane made it two, flicking home an inch-perfect cross from Ivan Dal Santo. At this point, the tie seemed over. However, St. Gallen inexplicably went to sleep, and allowed the visitors back into the tie.

Own goal
Dal Santo put through his own goal in the 65th minute, then striker Cvete Deliovski was left unmarked by the home defence to make it 2-2. With the score at 4-2 on aggregate, Pelister seemed invigorated by the glimmer of hope left to them in the tie.

In with a chance
With 15 minutes remaining, defender Jordanco Stojmenovski scored from an impossible angle and suddenly Pelister needed just one more goal to go through.

Standing ovation
In injury-time, substitute Sasa Pesic drew a great save out of Stöckli to preserve St.Gallen's lead and Pelister were left disappointed with the final score locked a t 3-2 to Pelister after a thrilling encounter. Despite their elimination, the home crowd gave the Macedonians a standing ovation.

All rights reserved.

Interesno,,, Reto Zanni sto beshe na klupa protiv Pelister deneska igra za Basel !

With last years team Basle wou;d of killed Rabotnicki. But they have lost key players. Petric is dangerous but hes partner in crime Delgado was sold, so there is no help from other players. Looking at they league its very weak this year, Sion (Pancev's last teasm) were promoted and are now leading the league. It can be said that Basle this year are the same quality as Debrecen. With this there is very high chance that we can qualify!

Dangerous players for Basle - Petric, Sterjovski and Chipperfield. Watching the team last year they destroyed teams on the wings.

Basel is much weaker this year then last year !! and even last year they did not have any super results in europ.... They made the uafa group stage,, in the group stage two wins and two losses,, then they lost in the knock out stage after the groups..

And this year they are 50% weaker cuz they lost many players as you told Robert and the forum against Tabol and Vaduz in uefa cup and the form in the liga only tell about this years power...

Sterjovski is a good player but i think Rabotnicki will faind a solution forum him too,, Chipperfield,, dont worry hehe....

Rabotnicki have a huge chance to make the group stage and are favourite against Basel and it will be a huge disappointment if they dont knock out this years Basel !!!

Chipperfield is good but he is not a player that can cause us much trouble.
