Lots of noise around a triple deal between Chelsea and Roma with Chelsea getting Dzeko and Palmieri, while loaning Michy to Roma.

It's impressive the amount of money the English clubs, even the minor clubs of the EPL, can waste. I read Palace offered 15million for Masina. lol. 15million for a left back (!), who is average! Hodgson has to be in love with the likes of Pistone.

Alexis Sanchez - Arsenal > Man Utd - Swap

Imo a bigger kick in the teeth for Arsenal than when United made them comply with RVP. Alexis is one of the best players in the premiership and will improve United immensely.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - Man Utd > Arsenal - Swap

However Arsenal do get Heno in exchange. He's pretty suited to Wengerball I think and I'm quietly confident that he'll do a lot better at the Emirates than he did at Old Trafford.

Man City also signed Kevin De Bruyne to a new 5.5 year deal today, so it's pretty eventful in terms of big players doing stuff.

Erdal Rakip - Benfica > Crystal Palace - Loan

Palace also loaned whoever the hell this guy is from Benfica.

He looks a right fat twat in this photo, I mean I'm guessing it's probably just the wind, but still.

Kenedy - Chelsea > Newcastle - Loan

Good to see this guy get a shot at some first team action. I think if he's actually played as a winger rather than a full back, he can do some damage. I don't know if he's quite top 6 quality, but I believe he has the potential to be a solid premiership winger.

Jaroslaw Jach - Zaglebie Lubinto > Palace 2.5m

Must just be the Palace kit, because this guy looks fat too. 23 year old Polish international central defender, Poles on Reddit don't seem to think he's good enough for premiership football. I guess we will have to see.

Rumours atm.

- Man City are set to trigger Aymeric Laporte's release clause and he's expected to sign a 5.5 year deal.

- Arsenal still working on signing Aubameyang and now making a move on Evans.

- WBA signing some Egyptian dude to replace Evans.

- WBA also moving to sign Andre Schurrle on loan from Dortmund.

- Brighton put a bid in for Mitrovic, which Newcastle have apparently rejected.

- Newcastle moving for Islam Slimani, which might make them more likely to sell Mitrovic.

- Newcastle also apparently working on Kevin Gameiro.

- Swansea pushing to somehow get Nico Gaitan.

- Southampton working at signing Quincy Promes from Spartak.

- Celtic apparently willing to sell Dembele, which will interest a few premiership teams.

- Chicharito probably leaving West Ham for Besiktas.

- West Ham set to get Joao Mario on loan from Inter.

- Dzeko and Emerson still likely to sign for Chelsea.

Philippe Coutinho Liverpool > Barcelona 142m

Obviously the biggest deal in January so far. A big loss for the league of possibly the best Brazilian to play in this country. I'm sure he'll do excellent at Barca.

Can't believe Liverpool paid 75m for Virgil big Dick (van means big in Dutch, right? I know this because Ruud van Nistelrooy means Ruud big Nostrils in English).

I miss Ruud

Guido Carrillo - Monaco > Southampton 19.2m

Southampton make a major move in this windows relegation dogfight spending battle by investing in Carrillo. It's a big vote of confidence for Pellegrino as Guido seems very much his guy. He should give them a physical presence upfront which they've been missing since Pelle left. I'm interested in seeing how this dude gets on.

Mourinho has also signed a contract extension at United for a couple more years, so that should dispel any notion of him leaving for PSG in summer.

Lois Diony - St Etienne > Bristol City - Loan

This guy was quite an expensive signing for St Etienne in the summer, but hasn't done much for them and now chances his arm in the championship.

Of the three Germans that Norwich signed, Leitner is probably the most logical as he is a former Dortmund squad player and played for Farke in the Dortmund II. However he's barely played last few years including a disaster stint in Lazio

Joao Mario - Inter > West Ham - Loan

2nd big move in the relegation battle, 1m for the loan with apparently a 26m buy option at the end of the season. Didn't seem to work out for the guy at Inter, but he'd always looked good for me other than that and I think this is potentially a very good pickup to West Ham, should add some drive to their midfield.

Schneiderlein and Mario would be a good combination if West Ham can pull off a deal for the former too.
