Surprised him but Rashford shouldn't have been so free.

Without it gravity is just gravy.

Always felt de Boer was vastly overrated, yes his Ajax teams won like 4-5 titles in a row but they did nothing in Europe, never got out of their group in the CL and never past the R16 in EL, Bosz took Ajax to the final of the CL and PSV last few seasons got out of their group a couple times in the CL. At Inter he was a disaster, although to be fair he didn't have a full pre-season

Bilic is in most trouble, their signings have been terrible for the most part and they are poor defensively to start the season. In fact won't shock me if he goes now as the international break is usually time when clubs make that decision

As for Bilic and de Boer, they can both fvck off as far as I'm concerned. I don't know why clubs continue to sign inexperienced foreign ex-players as manager when there are plenty of good British ones to go around.
Palace should go for Tony Popovic. Has done well as a manager and has Palace links.

Case in point: today.

Not only the big win over Arsenal, but they have so far scored 14 goals in 5 competitive games. 2.8 goals per game without Coutinho.

Arsenal are a joke in these games against "rivals" for CL spots

Spurs' Wembley jinx continues

Problems continue for de Boer, another loss and still to score in the league...Scott Dann however missed an unmarked header (open goal too) from about 6 yards out

Despite all the negativity, Newcastle won at Swansea and have started the season decently. They weren't pretty to watch but they grinded out a victory with Lascelles saving a goal in his own end and scoring one at the other end

..and he's sacked already.

One time we played Cagliari and before the game I asked him: 'Do you know the name of the centre-back of Cagliari?' 'No'. 'No?! You are not a professional. You have to know the skills of the opponent. You have to know the name of the centre-back'. 'Mister', said Ronaldo, 'I don't know the name of the player I play against. But he knows me'!''

Dutch media is reporting that De Boer is being considered for new coach of the national team.

Here we see De Boer after being told about it:

Where it went wrong for Frank de Boer at Crystal Palace | Daily Mail Online

De Boer's not 100% to blame it seems, Palace board screwed up too, not surprising because although they mean well the board is clueless in the transfer market, there is a severe lack of scout network & knowledge of other foreign leagues at board level. Only going into the season with only one recognised striker in your squad is ridiculous.

FdB's selections can be odd though. Like playing Milivojevic at CB during pre-season, dropping him for league games. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet at DM. Starting with Lee yesterday. Only playing 4 friendlies pre-season. But maybe international level will suit him better than club football. Ajax did nothing in Europe during his time there.
