Bernardo Silva (To Man City)

Country : Portugal
Age : 23
Position : Attacking Midfielder/Playmaker
Signed From : Monaco
Price (Approx) : £43,600,000
16/17 Whoscored Rating : 7.29

City are really not messing about at the moment. I'm not sure exactly where he fits into the team, though.

I think Pep will rotate him with David Silva, and KDB, in midfield also he can play down the right-wing, so maybe rotates him with Sterling.

Long term planning in action with this signing. Clearly heir apparent to his namesake David.

I'd actually like to see more of De Bruyne as a winger or behind a forward, where he is much more dangerous (as good as he can be as a midfielder, I like him much better in his older roles, his crossing and final ball and shooting are just devastating when in form).

Surely the two Silvas can play together in midfield despite being lefties, and Sterling/Sane/Gabriel Jesus (who's clearly more of a CF, but of course Aguero) can play in the other wing.

Anyway, this is all based on Pep playing a version of 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 on paper, but in reality he might do something completely unexpected.

"It is possible to imagine a distant future in which most other species of life are extinct but the ocean will consist overwhelmingly of immortal jellyfish, a great gelatin consciousness everlasting".

Marco Silva has been officially announced as the new Watford manager. He couldn't quite save Hull, but he did a really good job trying and I feel like this is a good appointment for them. Rumour has it that he will take Kamil Grosicki with him as his first signing, which is fair enough as he's too good for the Championship.

Ederson has said he's probably played his last game for Benfica and a deal for him to go to Man City is expected within a week. He's a very Pep style keeper, by the looks of it.

Ivan Perisic is being linked with both Man Utd and Chelsea, United have apparently agreed with the player, but Inter want too much money. He seems like he would fit a Mourinho team, as he has a good work ethic.

Leeds are expected to sign Haidi Sacko on a permanent deal from Sporting. He's a bit frustrating, but could be very good if he can get some level of consistency in his performances.

- Paul Lambert has left his job at Wolves, supposedly he's left because he couldn't get the targets he wanted and would have had to go for players Mendes wanted to bring in.

- Bournemouth have agreed a £10m fee with Chelsea for Asmir Begovic, which is an absolutely massive improvement on Boruc if they can get it over the line.

- West Ham have made a move for Kelechi Iheanacho, reports are City are asking for £20m and also for a buy-back clause.

- Liverpool seem to be signing Solanke from Chelsea, though with Firmino, Sturridge, Origi and Ings all at Liverpool, I'm not sure if he'll be much better off there.

Riyad Mahrez has put a statement out saying he's leaving Leicester. Some rumours say Monaco but isn't be surprised if they would match his current wages.

Absolutely superb signing for me. A top 10 keeper in the league easily and a big upgrade on Artur Boruc.

Dominic Solanke (To Liverpool)

Country : England
Age : 19
Position : Striker
Signed From : Chelsea
Price (Approx) £3,000,000

Very talented kid, I'm just not sure he will find chances any easier to come by at Liverpool than he did at Chelsea, might go out on loan initially.

Arsenal will make a final push to keep Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, The Mirror reports .

The Gunners hope the FA Cup triumph and improved salaries will convince the star duo to say, with the club prepared to offer them wages totalling more than £30 million combined.

He looked pretty handy when at Vitesse in the 2015-16 season. Showed some nice touches and looked strong. Obviously not yet consistent at that age. At 3m he would have been worth a look at for a club like Feyenoord or Ajax if his wages were lower.

Hopefully for Liverpool, he'll be less injuryprone than Sturridge.

Double managerial news.

Wenger has indeed signed a new 2 year deal with Arsenal, I don't know if the guy will ever be able to let go, apparently he's going to have a lot of money available this summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo is the new Jorge Mendes puppet/Wolves manager. No idea how that one will work out. Certainly the first time any manager has ever gone straight from Porto to Wolves.
