Rochdale eliminate Nottingham Forest who continue to struggle, big wins for Bournemouth (5:1 against Rotherham), Swansea (6:2 against Tranmere) and West Brom (7:0 against Gateshead)

Blyth Spartans couldn't hold on to their lead. For the most part no real surprises other than the Rochdale result

Knew Pearce would **** that up. England wonder why their youth teams never progressed beyond the U21's? It's that ape that was the problem. Did well to replace him with Gareth Southgate and get shot of Pearce.

Too much is made of Stuart Pearce being this or being that. He has no track record, he's awful.

Amazingly forest fans seem to still not have realised Pearce is a bloody awful manager, it's everyone's fault but his. Long May it continue!

Thankfully Christ Martin spared our blushes, thought we had another Crawley town on the cards the longer the game went on.

Not sure what kind of squad QPR put out today but they lost 3:0 at home to Sheffield United

Both Man City and Stoke needed 2nd half comebacks to defeat lower league opposition at home. Milner got two goals for City, one in the 90th minute, to beat Sheffield Wednesday 2:1. Stoke scored three times in the final 10 minutes to beat Wrexham.

Crystal Palace easily beat Dover 4:0, very one sided but once Palace made the managerial change I think the chances for an upset drastically went down, Palace played with passion

Ipswich get a draw at Southampton and force a replay

City barely managed to win this much although they attacked during the whole match
Sheffield brilliantly defended, however, their defense has yielded just before the end of the game.

Ipswich are a good side, McCarthy got given time to build something nice. Potential Prem team next season if they carry on as is.

Good performance by both Sheffield clubs, considering Wednesday got THUMPED in this same fixture only back in September/October 7-0. Sheffield United are an enigma, they walk the park with Prem teams in cup competitions but are so inconsistent in League Two. They should be higher than 6th really.

4th ROUND (January 24/25)
Southampton/Ipswich Town vs. Crystal Palace
Blackburn Rovers vs. Swansea City
Derby County vs. Scunthorpe/Chesterfield
Birmingham City vs. West Bromwich Albion
Cardiff City vs. Reading
Burnley/Tottenham vs. Leicester City
Rochdale vs. Stoke City
Doncaster Rovers/Bristole City vs. Everton/West Ham United
Cambridge United vs. Manchester United
Chelsea vs. Millwall/Bradford City
Preston North End vs. Sheffield United
Aston Villa vs. Bournemouth
Liverpool vs. Bolton Wanderers
Brighton vs. Arsenal
Sunderland vs. Fulham/Wolves
Manchester City vs. Middlesbrough

Nothing too interesting, Manchester United visit the lowest ranked side still remaining in the competition, Birmingham City/WBA is a bit of a rivalry match, there is an all League 1 matchup while it will be interesting to see how Bournemouth does against EPL strugglers Villa

Prospect of a Derbyshire derby for the first time since 1985 would be great.

Getting better and better, no doubting his ability, his pace, power and trickery has defenders scared to death at times. He was a bit to greedy and wasn't doing his defensive duties enough, which saw him lose his place for a few games, he's come back and been outstanding in the last few games.

Chesterfield win to set up an all Derbyshire affair in round 4. Most anticipated cup game ever for me.

Great little peace by Deon Dublin prior to the Cambridge v Manchester United match. What on earth happened to Luke Chadwick by the way? Has he been in extreme makeover? He used to have a right pair of Tree Trunks in his Mouth.

My money is on Liverpool winning the FA Cup, they have the history and the players, no other team can match their recent history or the Anfield Galacticos - Allen, Lallana, Ballotelli, Lambert and Caan can compare equally even with the Real Madrid Galicticos of Ronaldo, Bale, Kroos, Rodriguez and Benzima.

They will wipe the floor with Bolton and make it 10 matches unbeaten. Put your house on it.

I was write last week when I said no way on earth Aston Villa would score against Liverpool and I will be right again.

Rumbledown Cup, FA Cup and League Title all coming to Anfield this season, the team will eclipse the Gerrard Houlier Charity Shield, League Cup and Uefa Cup winning team.

Cambridge Utd 0-0 ManU

CU is 12th in the table in League Two. Nice payday for them the Old Trafford replay

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim
