Marc, do a profile on Jonjo Shelvey... apparently Liverpool have agreed a fee for him.

I can't really do a write up properly, only seen him in the victory shield and a few games here and there. Haven't watched any league 1 football at all. So no idea how he has progressed.

When I saw him though he was quite similar to a young Lampard at U21 level, decent passing and good shooting. With great positional sense, but Lampard went on many levels in progression... will Jonjo? We'll see, I reckon Liverpool will chew him up.

Great goal from Wickham, leading Spain 2-1.

EDIT - Ninja'd again! Need to retire, lost my touch.

EDIT 2 - Fvck me, what a touch by Wickham... needed the finish though.

Good game. Can't say I've heard of any of them, though.

Can someone post the line-ups. And who was the youngest guy out there?

Congratulations people. I think the youngest member of your team is Chelsea defender Nathaniel Chalobah, 15 years old.

YES!!! Get in! Well done lads. Very technical performance, great in defence and we tried to play the right way. We had a couple of chances that should have been buried, they had a penalty turned down but think we deserved it overall. They tried to walk it in too often, looked like Arsenal rather than Barca. Fabregas watching too.

Great game.

NG - Gonna do a Rocky montage on you!

13 Jack Butland (GK)
2 Bruno Pilatos
3 Luke Garbutt
4 Conor Coady (C)
5 Nathaniel Chalobah
6 Andre Wisdom
7 William Keane
9 Benik Afobe
15 Joshua McEachran
16 Ross Barkley
17 Connor Wickham

I think Alec is right, although he looks 18 and was very mature in his performance.

My boy Keano put in a good performance.

They had us under the cosh a bit, but we we're organised and I didn't really feel they we're going to break us down although we did have to put in some good blocks and we got lucky on a penalty call. But we had three superb chances to go 3-1 up after taking the lead. I'd say we deserved it in the end. Good finish to a lazy Sunday afternoon that.

Only heard of Will Keane. Cheers, guys.

Who's the manager? John Peacock. Never heard of him either, but we were playing some nice stuff out there. So far removed from what the big boys were doing today.

Peacock has been the manager at that level since time began, got us to a final a few years ago where we lost to Spain. Moses was the boy then. Thats why you can take international youth games so seriously, look how many of them go on to become big names.

Same with Kenny Swain at U16 level (who was there today too, don't remember him going before). They like to play 4-3-3, pass and move technical football.

Connor Wickham is the only guy I've heard of out of that lot. Very big strong lad. Saw some his displays earlier in the season as a proxy 16 year old [born March 1993], and I've seen him bully defenders who are twice as old as him and twice as wise and experienced as him.

Very good player.

Edit: Just double checked his stats on couple of different sites. I swear he was 6'3 about six months ago, and now he's 6'5

If Carlsberg did forum signatures......
