September 7th - WC Qualifier - Moldova : Slovenija

Well, lets move on to our next game, this is now the 'do or die' game for us. It is going to be very difficult for us to qualify for Germany now, but if we manage to win our last 3 games then I think we still have a good shot at it. Nothing is impossible, just look at how Norway won on saturday :depress:

It starts in Moldova where they had an impressive 2 - 0 victory over Belarus on saturday. The Belarussians dominated that game much like we did ours, but Molodova hit them once on a counter attack and once from a set play to win the game and get their first victory in the Qualifying So they will be in good spirits after the victory and determined to record another, but they dont know whats coming Our boys played very well at home and I think if we can play the same way against Moldova than we could be in for a very nice result I am very confident for our 3rd victory of the Qualifying, its long overdue!

How should our team look? I hope something like this:

--------------------------- B. Mavric ---------------------------

----- M. Mavric ----- Knavs --------- Cesar ----- Filekovic ------

------------- Komac -------- Zlogar --------- Koren ------------

-------------------------- Nastja Ceh --------------------------

------------------- Lavric ------------- Cimirotic ---------------

Yes James,no Komac and no Mile for Moldova game. Whillewe won'tmiss the out of form Mile, we'll heavilly miss the little terrier Komac, who's doing a lot of hard work in the midfield.

I just hopeour bojs will clear their heads and prepare well for this match. They must forget what happened and lok forward. It's difficult I know, but this game will show the reall caracter of this team. I have very little doubts about it, our bojs will be hungry to win. They just must keepit cool, play patiently and determined. They must show the same level of fighting and team spirit like they did on saturday and all will be fine. I'm notcounting on luck anymore though, theway I see it, this qualifyng cyclus is doomed for us.

My team for wednesday:

------------------------B.Mavric--------------------------

-----Ilic-----------Knavs--------Cesar----------M.Mavric----

Koren---------Zlogar--------------------------------Filekovic

----------------------------------Nastja---------------------

-----------------------Lavric-------Cime---------------------

Lets win the damn thing!

My team would be:

------------------------ B. Mavric ------------------------

----- Ilic ------- M. Mavric ----- Knavs ----- Filekovic -----

----- Rodic ------- Zlogar ------- Sukalo ----- Ceh --------

--------------- Cime ------------ Lavric ------------------

I'd give Cesar a rest and maybe put him in in the second half, if we have good result.

I don't think so. We need two defensive midfielders to help our defense, otherwise we'll allow even more goals than against Norway. Koren is a winger as far as I know and he should come in as substitute if we need to press forward even more.

I like your line up OAnimal,it's just that I'd play Koren over Rodic. Rodic did OK this time, but as Koren is a winger, and a very skillfull one too, he'd be much more usefull down the side, plus hes in a good form lately, you saw it.

Anyway, we'll have to play a bit more cautiosly but still attacking minded.

I agree with you, but Rodic plays on right, while Koren plays on the left, as far as I know...

Yeah, I've got puzzled as well, because against Norway I think he played more on left. OK then, Koren instead of Rodic sounds fine too.

There aren't any James. Whichever line up will be used, whoever plays, I don't care really, as long as the bojs show the same determination they showed on saturday. That was a pure joy to watch. Even if it won't be as pretty, as long as we win, it will be fine with me.

Yes a win would do us great! And I'm quite confident as well.

But what happens in Minsk I really don't care that much about, I'll be more interested in the game n Oslo. I hope Scotland can upset Norway, especially now that Norway will play without three players from Celje who were booked, including Pedersen. A win for us and a win for the Scots would make things quite interesting again.

Anything except a win would be a disappointment. Thank god Mile can't play.

I'd give Cesar a rest and maybe put him in in the second half, if we have good result.
I second that.

I know I said the same thing about the game against Norway but I have that feeling again about Slovenia playing a good game. Hopefully luck will be on our side this time.

And also a win for Belarus Then if we win in Italy, which is not impossible, we will be above the Italians with our last game at home to Scotland left to play . . .
