hmm I'd go for
1. Gorica (again p )
2. Publikum
3. Maribor

maybe it would be fun if we could give a prono before each fixture? (or maybe that has already been like this... I don't know :nervous: )

In the last two seasons it's been Gorica, easily. Who knows what will this season bring. It's allready full of changes. We are back to 10 teams with four rotations in the championship.

Maribor made quite some changes and I belive they'll be ready for the top agan.

Gorica lost some important players like Komac but should do OK again.

Publikum, I dont know. They are up there for some years now but never seem to make it.

Others in my opinnion will play and back up rolle again, fighting for lower places.
I do hope Primorje could make it back to track, especially now after a friend of OAnimal's and mine finally made it to become their first keeper. Also I whish Koper do do well, but I really don't see them making much impact.

Anyway the wholle thing kicks off today and I hope for a better season, more entertaining one and for more TV coverage.

SLOVENIJA

Well, I'd also like Primorje finally do something in the league (although they came very close on two occasions) and Uco to keep his sheet clean as many times as possible.

On the other hand, I'd like traditional teams like Maribor, Gorica, Koper and Publikum to do well. Without those teams doing well, our league is screwed (if it is not already)...

He did very well last year, he was top scorer of the league. As for this year, the season has barely started today. We'll see.
But no doubt, he is one of the best players in our league, if not the best.

True, I expect a lot of him, to be honest.

Bozgo is no longer a member of NK Maribor, he signed for AEK Larnaka from Cyprus a month ago. Kvas and Mujanovič also left before the new season started.

Maribor signed 2 new strikers, Richmar Siberie - Rocky ('82) and Mate Eterović ('84), 2 young strikers from our own football school joined the A team (Zajc '87, Vračko '88), there's also Jelič ('86) and Kramberger ('80) who were with the A team already last year but they're currently injured. We expect the most from Rocky, Eterovič, Zajc also left a very good impression, he played friendly matches very well and scored against Crvena Zvezda which we beat 2:1.

12 players left Maribor before this season (Kuzma, Balajić, Pitamic, Franci, Žnuderl , Brezič, Teinovič, Komljenovič, Mujanovič, Kvas, Bozgo, Golob). 6 new players came (Zeba - '83, Rocky - '82, Eterović - '84, Šimić - '79, Popović - '82, Pregelj - '77), 7 players from our youth teams joined the A team. From what I've seen the new players are good, Zeba is BIH U-21 member, very good on the ball, good 1:1, good passes, he's a playmaker, Rocky is very strong, hard to guard, good 1:1, Eterović seems to have a striker's instict, he scored a lot on friendlis, also against Zvezda and Hajduk. I haven't seen Popović play, he's a former SiCG U-21 member, also an offensive miedfilder.

We have a totally new, very young team this year (only 1 player - Vuksanovič is over 30), a new coach Milan Đuričić. So far I like what i've seen from Đuričić, he emphasises hard work, discipline and fighting spirit. He's like that at trainings too, a lot of discipline and hard work. All in all I'm looking forward to this season, I think we have a new, exciting team and i believe we are among candidates for the championship. If we don't win the championshp this year no one will be dissapointed as long as there will be a noticable progress in building the team. Our goal is to be in the top 3 and get a spot for the european competitons (CL or Uefa).

Thanks for the extensive report on your team changes, Majk.
I wish you do well this season (more precisely, to finish 2nd behind Primorje... )

Yes, great to hear from you again Majk. A great insight into your team, which, like you said, looks promissing and set to challenge for top places.
