Nastja to GAK?

Oba vpletena kluba prestopa še nista potrdila.

--------------------------------

This is still unofficial but it seems like Nastja is moving to Austrian first division club GAK. He allegedly said: I see a new sporting experiance in this, but also the closeness to my home is decsive. Se is supposed to have a one year deall in Austria. Both clubs involved are yet to confirm the news.

If it's any comfort, his manager already said there's no deal as of yet. A number of teams are interested, but they chose to talk to Brugge first.

Thanks Bins. Indeed the article does mention other clubs interested, Anderlecht ,Tolouse and Sporting. Honestly I'd really like him to remain at Brugge, I think he's got it just fine over there. Plus I really don't get, why the hell Austria?

I can explain the most part of that. As a foreign player, he currently enjoys a favourable tax regime that would fall away next year. I don't see him going to Anderlecht, but the foreign teams can pay what Brugge pays and more.

About Austria: his manager used to play with Linz during his days as a player and hence (apparently) still has a lot of contacts over there. So it's not as unnormal as it seems at first.

I'd also like him to stay at Brugge, it looks like a perfect team for him. I don't think GAK is at the same level as Brugge and if he was to move to much stronger team there's always a risk that he wouldn't make it into starting 11.

So do you think GAK is a stronger team than Brugge?

Of course not. That's why I said I'd like him to stay in Brugge.

Edit: I reread my post and it is indeed written rather unclearly. I wanted to say this:
I don't want him to move to GAK, because I think Brugge is a better team than GAK. But I also wouldn't like him to move to Sporting or some Spanish or Italian club, because he could not find a place in starting 11.

anyways it doesn't matter. For the time being Nastja is staying at Bruges. I quote his manager (from today's Het Nieuwsblad):

Frenay: "There is interest from Graz, Rapid Wien, Austria Wien, one or two Italian clubs and one or two Belgian clubs. But no one has contacted Bruges yet. There is one certainty: Nastja will stay in Bruges. Nastja said that he wasn't happy in Bruges. He didn't feel respected. But that was all a misunderstanding. Marc Degryse let us know that the players are important. The negociations will start real soon now, so he can sign a new contract at Bruges."

well let me put it this way... in January I come to you and tell you I want to discuss a new contract. You tell me you want to wait, so you can concentrate on the competition. Ok, I tell you I'll wait for the end of the season... When that time has come I renew contracts from Birger Maertens, Kevin Roelandts,... but I don't talk to you anymore, while you were waiting for the negociations for 3 months now...

What will be your reaction?

well that's how the situation was, and actually still is... Nastja has been this respectfull towards Bruges by waiting for them to come first, putting other interesting clubs aside, while Bruges hasn't reacted 'till 3 days ago. I fully understand Nastja's reaction.

Look, I hate the way the are working lately, with all the contracts... a lot of "blabla" but I don't see anything happening. I'm sick of it. Last season same story, different players.
