Zaho at it again?

Well as reported by our yellow Slovenske novice, Zahovic erupted again. Again his coach is on the line, Trappatoni. He supposedly told the man to shut up, when Trap urged him to be more commited to the work at the training.
As you could notice Zaho was not with Benfica in Stuttgart yesterday, the official news say he's injured though. Now this are only just rumours so far, but I sure wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

Same old Zdraho! :rollani:

I remembered reading this a couple of weeks back and predicted this would happen.

68' Karadas (in) - Zahovic (out) (Benfica)
The home crowd do not agree with Trapattoni's decision to withdraw the dangerous-looking Slovenian.

Of course I thought it would have happened in the locker room after the game, but for ZZ to hold his temper till now is really a great sign

Well, an outburst against Trapattoni, the master above masters in catenaccio, it can be hardly considered a Zaho fault.

True, but suddenly I happen to like Zaho a bit more than I did after Korea. :dielaugh:

Once an idiot, always an idiot. And he's not soo popular in Benfica. I have the information from first hand, as 3 ultra-big fans from Lisbona are staying in Ljubljana (exchange students) and you hear quite interesting stuff.

Come on, idiot is too harsh word for him. After everything he has done for our NT?! I can't believe this.
You can dislike him for his behaviour, I dislike him for that too (and you know very well how strong my feelings can be ), but calling our NT legend an idiot??

What ahs he done for the NT?

He was a bonus in the qualifiqaitons for the euro and world cup, but don't overlook the fact that becaouse of him Ačimovič didn't play. I am sure we would get through even without Zahovič, becaouse Katanec knew how to motivate his players. And don't get me started on Korea, he tottaly embaresed his team and country with his idiotic behaviour, he was substituted (unfairly) but that didn't gave him the right to attack his coach and insult him and his family. We would probalby get through to the next round if it wouldnt of been for Zaho.

But he wasn't the main culprit in Korea, the s*** called Đoni Novak had to tell everything to the press.

We'll never know that, will we? The fact is, he played his best games for our NT, specially in Euro 2000 qualifiers and in Euro 2000 itself, as well as in some games in WC 2002 qualifiers. In these games he gave everything, he scored the most goals and most important ones and he did this having incompetent forwards like Osterc at his side. His role in the competitions I mentioned was extremely important.
Acimovic was a youngster in Euro 2000 qualifiers, he wasn't half a player that he is now.

Who said anything about Korea? Zaho was my favourite NT player before Korea, but after that, I don't want him anywhere near our NT again. However, that doesn't mean he wasn't our most important player for a long time and that so far, he is the best player ever to play for our NT and will remain so for quite some time.

OK, I apologize for my outburst, I thought you were implying that he has done nothing.

I think Nina said it well, he's not that big in Benfica as some of our media is trying to show. It's enough for you to check it out at Benficas forum here at XT. He's just too primadona like ever since he joined them, never really fulfilled the expectations. He was bought as the no.10, he was expected to be their number one, the be the leader and so on. But at best he's been avarage so far. I belive his days at Benfica are numbered.

But as OAnimal said I wouldn't dare calling him an idiot, although he might very well be one. :rollani: He's done too much for our beloved NT, we all worshiped him before Korea. Undoubtebly he's our best player (since the independance) and his contribution to the NT is unmeasurable. I know I miss him in the NT, but not Zaho of the present, the reall Zaho, from the Euro 2000 qualifications and from Euro itself when he still had his things settled up in the head. What a player he waas back than. Now there's no place for him in the team.

I think his days are numbered as well to be honest. If he does move, hopefully it will be to a club in the EPL so I will get to watch him play once again

EPL? No way man, he's not the guy for it. Man, he'd have to start sweating and working at the end of the career. No, no, he'll go Qatar or Japan or somewhere like that, to collect the last few $$ for doing nothing.

Sure, he can survive in the EPL He is good enough to play for Man United and even Arsenal :smileani: On second thoughts, he could just move to Chelsea where he will get paid huge amounts of money and not get a game
