Parma - Maribor

Yesterday at 17.00 our team left for Parma, the match is scheduled for Thursday at 21.00. So what can we expect from this match?
I think it's almost impossible to predict anything, we know about the situation in Maribor and the crisis we're going through. But on the other hand an Uefa cup match with Parma is something special and the problems we have shouldn't effect our performance on Thursday.

The situation in Parma is also not ideal, the team is quite changed and they still have to play a lot of matches together to improve their performance. The biggest danger is probably Gilardino, our defenders mustn't leave him alone for a second. They have a good miedfiled with Marchioni on the right and Brescianoin the middle. Parma drew the first match with Messina at home (0:0).

I hope our players will be brave, I hope they will fight until the final whistle, I hope they'll try to score and I hope they won't take any crap from the Macaroni. Most of our players including coach Kek probably watched Scotland-Slovenia and maybe they got some inspiration from that match. For the end I hope for a positive result in Parma.

Go Maribor!

Will the game be broadcasted on our TV?

I wish Maribor good luck, but I have my doubts if they could pull it off with anykind of point in Parma. They are just too strong. Indeed they only drew with Messina, but their defence and their attack is better than what Maribor has. Like you said, you have to mark Gilardino very well and don't allow to leave him alone for a sec, he's not only very good but also very quick.

They might underestimate you though, that may be a door for a point

Vso srečo!

Majk, I whish Maribor all the luck, they will need it. It will be tough, but you mustn't give up in the advance, as Nina said, they might underastimate you and if so, you should punish them.
I with Maribor, so good luck!

Those RTVS fukkers . It wasn't too fukking expensive to broadcast Liverpool - Olimpija for example.
And I don't give a fukk if you'll broadcast our home match with Parma because I'll be at the stadium with my season ticket supporting my team live.

What did you expect from those faks, they are an embarassment.

It's a known fact that the italian TVs have the highest prices, so I wouldn't be too loud about the 'they broadcasted Olimpija and not Maribor'

Speaking od Bergant (a bit off-topic, sorry) ... what's with the pronounciation of Van der Meyde??? He was going on Maaayde, but it's Meeeyde

It doesn't happen often that a Slovenian club plays with a team like Parma so I think they should find the money somewhere. The TV ratings would be very good so i believe that RTVS could sell the comercial time very well.
But I still can't get rid of a feeling that in the case of Parma - Olimpija, RTVS would invest much more effort to broadcast the match.

Yes, they say the match will be on RAIDUE but I only have RAIUNO. Damn, I didn't think TVS is gonna screw us up like that, me and the other guys had already planned to watch the game together in some bar. Now i guess the radio will have to do.

If you want to see the match... you could go in San Pietro al Natisone (I think you know where is it) at the "Pizzeria 2000" and ask for Parma-Maribor. p
It is a nice place!

The game finished 3:2 and although Maribor lost, this is a great result! Their second goal came in the sweet 91th minut This means that they only have to win with 1:0 at home and they are in the next round (if I'm not mistaken) which is not bad, not bad at all!

Well done Maribor! I'm sure there will be a big crowd cheering in LV for the 2nd leg.
