Euro 2004

How about it guys? I can't wait for it to start :nervous: It would be even better, of course, if Slovenia would be there, but maybe next time

Who is(are) your favourite(s), who do you see winning, top scorers, best matches?

How about a little prediction game?

I'd say that the favourites for winning the Euro are Portugal (just because they are the hosts), Spain, France, Italy ( ) and Holland. In this competition, I will cheer for Russia, Croatia (seriously, I put the 20 EUR bet on them when they were quoted at 1:80 at William Hill ) and any team that kicks Italy out of championship.

Since Belgium nor Slovenia are in, I'll be pretty neutral, but I'll obviously keep a close eye on Butina and Rozehnal, of course.

Great to come up with this thread Nina! Just don't know about the prediction league since there allready is one in the Euro 2004 forum. But I wouldn't mind as long as everybody else agrees.

Now about the favourites, I belive this will be an very tough tournament, I really don't see any clear favourites. Still to me France, Portugal and the Czech Republic are ones from whom the winner should be. My personal favourites are England and Holland. Teams I really wouldn't like do anything are Italy and Germany.

Can't wait for the start really. Just too bad we aren't there, the thrill of it would be so much greater.:depress:

SLOVENIJA

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!

Well I'm cheering for the Azzurri Would also be happy if the Czech Republic or Portugal takes it, but Portugal, although being the host, hasn't got such a strong team :undecide:

'Must see matches':
Portugal vs Spain
England vs France
Italy vs Bulgaria
Czrch vs Germany
Czech vs Holland
Germany vs Holland

On Wednesday TVSLO is showing the classic EURO Slovenia vs Yugoslavia match from 4 years ago, don't miss it!

I am most definitely not watching it once again, because I have sworn and yelled enough and lost enough nerves when I watched it live. How for Christ's sake we blew a 3 goal advantage with them being a man down is still beyond me.

You are totally right, but I still feel pissed off when I think about that game.
