I can't wait for it to start! Some great matches are coming up already in the first phase, such as:
Portugal - Spain
France - England
Czech Republik - The Netherlands (yet again )
The Netherlands - Germany

The last group is the hardest IMO. Italy got an easy one They, together with Czech Republic are my fav!

Going through:
Group A - Portugal, Spain
Group B - France, England
Group C - Italy, Bulgaria
Group D - Czech Republic, The Netherlands

I don't really care much about the tournament since we and Brazil are not participating... :depress:
I will cheer for Latvia, but they got into a terrible group. :depress: :depress:
I would also like Croatia to do well (if they make it to the quarters, we won't look as bad as we do now after losing against them ) and they also got quite tricky group as well.
And last, but most certainly not the least, I do want Italy to go home as soon as possible, I do not want to look at their ugly and arrogant faces in the quarter-finals...

Caipirinha: 6 €
Brazilian NT shirt: 70 €
Flight to Rio de Janeiro: 400 €
Seeing Italian NT kicked out of major tournament: PRICELESS

Hatelist:
Juvemerdus
Partizan
Associazione Culo Milan
Lazio
Barcelona de mierda
Real de puta Madrid
Manchester Shitnated
Liverfool
Dinamo Kyiv
Panathinaikos
Olympique Marseille

All NBA and NHL except Red Wings

The first group is the easiest on paper, but of course things can get pretty tricky on the pitch. Spain and Portugal should have not to tough of an job to go through.

The group with Croatia should be an easy task for France whill the others will battle it out for the second and I hope England makes it.

Third gropup is very difficult, so don't kidd yourself Nina. Italy will have a very tough time there and will have to do something special to come ot of the group. I say Bulgaria and Sweden.

Oh the fourth group is The group. What a match promisses to be Holland - Germany, can't wait. It's really difficult to say who will go through, Latvia (who I'll cheer for) are probably without chances the othe three are in it. I hope to see Holland and Czechs throgh.

Well, I think that the groups are done very well this time around and that this tournament should kick some ass (It would be better if we were there though)

Who do I think will get through to the next round?? Well here is what I think the final standings will look like:

Group A

1) Portugal
2) Spain
3) Russia
4) Greece

Group B

1) France
2) Croatia
3) England
4) Switzerland

Group C

1) Italy
2) Sweden
3) Denmark
4) Bulgaria

Group D

1) Netherlands
2) Germany
3) Czech Republic
4) Latvia

It is hard for me to pick the team I think will go through but all up I think this tournament will be extremely tight. Latvia will cause some surprises in Group D and Group C will be closest IMO I cant wait for this now . . . Only 194 days to go :smileani:

The Rules and Matches

Groups
During the UEFA EURO 2004™ group stage, each team will meet their group opponents once, with three points for a win and one for a draw. The top two teams progress to the quarter-finals, the knockout phase of the competition, with the winners advancing to the semi-finals and then the final.

Tie breakers
If teams finish level on points, then the winner of the match between the sides in question will finish highest, or should they have drawn, goal difference, followed by goals scored, qualifying record for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2004™, a fair play ranking and finally either a penalty shoot-out or drawing of lots.

I'm not soo sure anymore that Spain and Portugal will have such an easy job :undecide: Russia is quite a good team and Greece is not that bad either. Spain always under-performce when it comes to big competitions, so a surprize might be possible?

Well said Walter. No one has an easy task here as these 16 teams are among the best in Europe. They all earned their place in the tournament so they must be good. Also, in Group C, all the NT's qualified by winning their groups, so that may be the trickiest group overall.
