Katanec set to join the Israeli lig?

According to the Israeli media, Maccabi Haifa are interested in Srecko Katanec and already contacted him, among some other options for the Manager position next season..

Well no offence, but I hope he stays in Europe. Besides, the Israelians are just as hot-blooded as Greeks and that won't work with Srečko

This rumour wouldn't go around just because he's from Slovenia, the next country they'll face for the EU04 qualifications?!

I don't think he would go to israel... He thinks very highly of himself...

Actually i heard some rumours that he could come to olimpija after this season... but that's also very unlikely...

About Srečko coming to Olimpija, I really wouldn't love to see this happening either.
And that Sampdoria thing, well it seems as nothing will come of that also,..

So where will Lucky end up, ..

Hmmm... i'm sorry to say but Haifa is far bigger than Olimpia... and its only a rumour, there are other names... and Haifa already defeated him and Olympiakos this season..

Katanec v Izrael?

I read that he was offered the job in Olimpija after Oblak was sacked, but he turned down the offer, because there were only a couple of games left till the end. The most important thing though is that he didn't close the door behind him and if they offer him, as the article above states, something worth taking he will do it.

Šolmajer spoke to him after the exhibition game in Nova Gorica were the F1 drivers and "stars" from slovenian scene participated.

Here's the article i was talking about:

Katanec v Izrael?

I've also heard about Milinovic and Ales Ceh joining Olimpija next year. However, I've heard this from my big-mouth friend, so I have to see it first to believe it...

Well... lets say for a moment that Katanec would be coming to olimpija...

I think that novak and rudonja are a not on best terms since the WC...

Also the line where Katanec's condition is that he would have complete freadom selecting the players? Is that bad news for prosinecki? Since we all know katanec's style of play...

Prosinecki also again mentioned some players that he would like to see come to olimpija (and has apparantley been talking to scholmayer about) like Jarni and Maric...

And Ceh and Milinovic? I would love to see that...

Now imagine if olimpija had this team:

Mavric
Milinovic Lazic Jarni
Novak Zlogar Ceh Rudonja
Prosinecki
Maric Kmetec

Yeah... we wish

In Delo's suppliment Polet Šolmajer stated that Olimpija can only be run by two people: Brane Oblak and Srečko Katanec.

Besides, he's not exactly moneyless so who knows what will happen and who he'll bring next season.

Is this big mouthed friend of yours a certain ZZTop?

Hell yes, if all of this was true, than next years Olimpija will be very strong. However I'm somewhat sceptical about this. And I certainly wouldn't like to see Srečko take over the team. I would like to see Žele and Ali to come though, and maybe Novak.
