Would you like to see NBI moved to a summer league?

Personally think it would help us immensely in terms of crowds and European qualification. We already have a winter break that is about double the length of the summer break so it really doesn't make that much sense to not switch...

Would like to know what everyone thought...

I advocated many times that they should move the Nb1 to a summer league, or start using artificial pitches to shorten the winter break.

But surely attendances are currently higher in July / August compared to November?

What about for European competition?

the one point in favour of a summer liga would be IMO that they are in form for the eurofoci. no more excuses then.

but then think about it, 3 months of playing at 35-40 Celsius, they'll find new excuses there.

I'd like to see it happen, but valid point on the "it's too hot" topic... Many times the players always say that as an excuse. I remember Debrecen's players saying that this past summer when they played euro foci quali games lol. But like wtf? It's too hot for our players but not for the other team??? Come on

I think it makes perfect sense. You can never judge when it's going to be too hot in the summer, but if all the games are played after 6pm then it may be as cool as the daytime games played in September currently. As for people being on holiday in the summer, true, but then they'll miss a couple of games. And Siofok should see much better attendances

This summer games after 6pm were 38c.

There is no way around the heat if u play in summer.

Maybe invest in air conditioned stadiums

Every summer I love the nb1 games and the pointless qualifiers

just wanted to say the same thing. yeah, later point of time makes no sense. if it's 38c the whole day, it's still 35c at 20:30

But they already play through May, half of July and throughout the whole of August anyway?

Yeah but that is just the air temperature. At least you wont have to sit directly in the sun.
In Spain they have games at 22:00 (I know, it is because of TV scheduling) . When I was still living in the Caribbean I went to plenty of football games that started at night.

games at 22:00 I have no problem with. but imagine the people in Macaristan complaining about how it's too late, there are no metros and trains after 23:00 etc

Just about to say the same thing

They have put late trains on in the past when Loki had to play in Budapest. But for nb1? Nevah.

They can play in midday sun for all I care

late trains was 1 piece of train at 23:30 though when the match started at 20:45

they surely couldn't set up a train at 00:30 or something
