ECQ: Northern Ireland vs. Hungary - 7th September, 2015 - Windsor Park - Belfast

I know it's a bit early and there's not even a thread for the Romania game yet but Morti and I have briefly discussed gathering a bunch of people to attend the game in Belfast together. I'm well up for it if people are interested so I thought we might as well start planning it now!

Does anyone know if we'll need a szurkolói kártya to get tickets? Also, I've never been to an away game so I don't even know if you buy tickets through the Hungarian FA directly. Anyone with previous away experience know how it goes? When are tickets even available?

Bring on September

Unfortunately can't join for this and the Romanian game. Will be in Sri Lanka at that time.

Keep an eye on the webpage and/or Facebook of the Northern Irish FA. It should be able to get tickets from there for non-visitor stands with the amount of Hungarian living in Budapest.

Sure he is, against mediocre teams like everyone in the group atm.

Without Jesus, a hopeless end. With him, an endless hope.

Every time I think he isn't, he plays well enough to prove he is. Course that has more not do with how lame our talent pool is than with how good he is as a 36 year old with multiple surgeries behind him.

I'm thinking about it. What's the best way to get there from London? Fly/drive/train. Also how do you get tickets?

Just fly mate, from London there are flights to George Best Airport which is next to the city unlike Belfast International. Longer option is to travel to Liverpool and get the ferry.

With FlyBe you get to fly the De Havilland DHC-8-400

Beat me to it, Tom, was coming here to post the link

Clarification on the ticket info: tickets are 16,000 Hungarian moneys (~Ł35), seats are first-come-first-served and you don't actually buy tickets, you buy 'vouchers' which you exchange for a ticket at Windsor Park on the day. Need to provide some info when buying the vouchers (name, date of birth, place of birth) because they'll verify this with your ID on the day.

I'm all booked now, flights and accommodation (George Best Airport indeed!) - bring on September!

The vouchers are just PDFs that you receive via email, print and bring to the venue, and they'll give you your actual tickets at the stadium.
