So Egervari is watching Otigba, Adorjan, Steiber, Rado, Szolnoki and Holman. They might all get a call up vs Holland.

He also said Gyomber and Bode are obvious.

I think this game our boys will actually go and try to play foci... so it will probably end like... 2-0 Holland

No, that is not what he said. He said that youngsters like Holman, Adorjan, Otigba, as well as people who've been on the radar before, like Stieber, will be in the visor for the spring. Watching a guy does not mean calling up, and NOT FOR A DECISIVE GAME, obviously. OBVIOUSLY.

We need new blood for the upcoming qualifiers... Egervari did say that for some of our players this will be their last chance to reach a WC. Out with the Vanczak's, Meszaros', Liptak's, Szabics', Szakaly's etc etc and eventually the Hajnal's, Gera's, Kiraly's, Juhasz's etc. We should start integrating these players almost immediately - I'm thinking of the Andorra game, than the friendly in November, March, summer friendlies etc. Not necessarily starting, but getting 45 minutes here, 60 minutes there until they are ready. Egervari was at the Vidi game last week and I know he was watching Szolnoki.

I think the key is getting our defense in order. We have no RB, CB pairing, and LB. We've seen Kadar, Halmosi, and Laczko play at LB these qualifiers, and aaaaaaaaaall sorts of CB pairings (Juhasz, Korcsmar, Guzmics, Devecseri, Meszaros, Liptak, Kadar) - It's a mess. Obviously injuries suspensions etc played a factor in this but still, it's way too much. I'd probably go with Guzmics and Kadar in the middle for now. They are the 2 best CB's in the NBI. I'd probably put Szolnoki or Lazar on the right, and Svab or Laczko on the left. Need to watch them more.

Riiiiiiight... He's a CB, not a RB. He is vulnerable as a RB since he seriously lacks speed. Robben will eat him alive man.

Robben will eat anyone we put at RB alive (god I hate Robben), so might as well put VV there, we might actually score then

Only that change for the sake of change is meaningless. Although fans like to think that way. If you only have another mediocre 11, than you'll do well, because?

But yes, I think it is clear for most around Nt that - and I mentioned this before - there is a need of thickening the squad, and adding some new blood. NOT necessarily on the main team, but as solutions. We can;t have only a thin 11 (and not even that, think defense), and then improvise when they get injured.

Good news is, Egri has been more than adventurous in continuously trying out new people.

And yes, Vili is a key player on the NT, one of the most consistent ones. Both in defense, and in attack. At this point, our strongest option.

But for every position there need to be three players of similar value, that is the goal!!! Real competition.

And then you'll see fans going crazy - why doesn't he play Y (when X plays)? Next game, why doesn't he play X (when Y plays)?

So it is never an issue of X or Y, but of BOTH. Vili needs to compete with another player, same for the rest of the positions. It's not a question of "Out with X! Player Y in the NT!", but of having X, Y, and Z as possible solutions simultaneously. A team really needs to have 20 players - and some 30 around.

But, as always, replenishing - which is really the task, to refresh a structure you have built - is not about removing the basic structure of the team. We are barely NOW in the position when we actually have a team who knows how to play together. This last year has been one when they know each other, know how to play together. Building a team takes 1-2 years, at NT level (given the lack of common time and work). We are there now, so what would be welcome, is adding to this.

I'm pretty sure Gera will be out for the Dutch game. He strained a ligament the other week, his first game will be in two weeks, and so that's that. Hajnal's the man, then.

I still dont care, he said that its a very minor injury and that its because he was working so hard and playing tough the last few weeks

Marica is a prime example imho. Gera would still play good, even for a half or more.

Still wouldn't play him, even if a less than 100% Gera is better than most of our guys. To be thrown into such a match after all of this, wouldn't be fair to expect much from him.
