Young NB1 players update

A couple years ago, I thought some of these guys that have come up on the youth NT level would be doing well. Last year, an article on nemzeti showed how most of the under 20 wc team was doing nothing and even riding the bench in NB1. Now I see some of them are playing. I figure there should be an update thread on the former and current youth NT players under the age of 22 that are on NB1 team. Gosztonyi, Bodi, Mate Kiss, Gyurcso, Roland Varga, Balajti. I think these guys are all 21 so it'll be good to see how they progress, now that they seem to be on teams where they will be playing. This way we can see who is ready to compete for the big NT. There are more but I dont recall the names. I think guys like Debreceni or whatever are too old..we already know what they can do.This is an important season for the guys I mentioned and for Hungarian soccer.

those guys kinda have their own threads..this should be dedicated to the young guys in nb1..anybody that is young enough that is still aprospect and is playing in nb1 would be good to follow. We can see their progress and if they get called up or just compare their progress to the ones abroad. Looks like Gyurcso and Bodi would be 2 good guys to compare, being that they are the same age and both get playing time in the top clubs in hungary

Bodi played most of the vital game and had a beautiful cross which led to the important varga goal; Gyurcso starts and played most of their vital uefa game..good sign; Istvan kovacs came in mid 2nd half; szolnoki played entire game at either left or right back at videoton; Either way it's good for our NT. Young guys are playing in big games for the top Hungarian clubs..good to see

so Sousa isn't that bad after all?

however, Gyurcsó was quite bad. Szolnoki was the weakest part in the defense (that yugo player of Slovan with #11 created some danger on his side couple of times) and Kovács looked overmotivated.

ditto.

gyurcso lacks composure in his game. hopefully that will come with time. his first touch sometimes is suspect as well. his shot near the end with only the keeper to beat and the far post gaping, the best chance of the game, was extremely poor.

overmotivated, overenthusiastic, kovacs was a headless chicken when he came and was lucky only to get a yellow for that tackle. to be fair he needs more game time, he has undoubted talent. very nice vision and perfectly weighted pass to put gyurcso through for his big chance. sandor gyorgy was not as good as in the first leg but have been impressed with him over the two legs, very mature performances.

Korhut played the game and also hit the post. Also Rezes had that beautiful assist.
