2013–14 Premier League

Seeing as how there is too little traffic in the section to create a thread for every game, this thread seemed like a more appropriate alternative.

City kicked off the season opener with an impressive 4:0 win against Newcastle United. Goalscorers were Silva, Agüero, Touré, and Nasri.

Up next is Cardiff City (away) on Sunday.

Sarajevo će biti, sve drugo će proći!

Surprised you didn't bring up Dzeko's involvement in the first 2 goals (slept afterwards, so no idea about the other 2 goals)

In the 23-25 minutes I watched City were threatening from the right, from the left and deep. Impressive stuff.

Juventus were relegated to Serie B along with their reputation.

If you're interested in seeing the goals:

Džeko played an excellent game, sure, but so did the rest of the team. They all worked really well together - whether that's due to Pellegrini or some other factor may be too early to tell. Either way, it was nice seeing the beautiful game played...beautifully.

The only downside to the match was Kompany's injury. Let's hope that it isn't too serious.

How did Fernandinho fare? Goal.com picked him as the top of the match.

He played well on his debut; his connection with Touré looked organic. What I mean by that is that it's difficult to find a player that doesn't feel/look like an anchor playing alongside Touré. I think that Fernandinho matches Touré's explosiveness in a lot of ways, which can never be a bad thing.

Although it may be too early to judge him exclusively on one performance, I see him having a bright future at City.

Shame Negredo's goal was disallowed. He wasn't offside. Good performance from City, but can't read too much as NU didn't turn up at all. Dzeko did everything well except for finishing.

Dzeko was man of the match and deservedly so. This was the opposite of what he normally does, scores but plays poorly. He looked very sharp today, hopefully the goals will come. Fernandinho was effective but hardly eye-catching.

All round good performance, we looked exciting, and Newcastle couldn't contain us when it was 11 vs 11.

Top of the league at the moment

Excellent performance by City, showing why I have them as favorites to win the league.

Navas isn't being talked about too much, but I liked his performnce. Seems like City have finally gotten a true winger.

A difficult match at a hostile ground. 2-2.

0-4 or 0-5, Dzeko hattrick. (at least that is my bet on williamhill.com)

Loved Navas, what a quick player, underused tho, he should have those little runs even more but that will come.

Good bye money haha..
But on all the fantasy football sites everyone put Dzeko as captain over RVP and Soldado, I think a nice score like Spurs away is on the cards

It finished 3-2 to Cardiff despite the referees best efforts.

GOAL CARDIFF! Gunnarsson pounces after a superb initial save from Hart! Kim was the star with a superb run down the right then a low, near-post cross that Campbell flicked on goal, great save Hart but Gunrarsson was there to finish!

Well that was embarassing, I almost had to slap a n**ga for making some sneer remark about my city shirt. Luckily I only had 4 pints.

Alleged David Platt quote on Al Jazeera: "If Mancini and I were still at City, Hart wouldn't be there. We decided to sign Asmir Begovic."
