I thought you rooted for anyone and anything German?

I had never heard of the team that beat Gladbach before. Huge result for Wolfsberger.

Juventus were relegated to Serie B along with their reputation.

Saka was very impressive for Arsenal against Frankfurt. Pepe continues to disappoint and it seems the heavy price tag is weighing him down. Hopefully the likes of Saka can get more first team opportunities.

I do. But it was so shocking that you could only bear it with irony.

Biggest home loss in their European Cup history.

Dudelange face Qarabag at home. It's a huge opportunity for them to start their Europa campaign with six points from six. In all likelihood Sevilla will defeat APOEL so there would be a six point gap in such a case.

There's not many eye catching fixtures tonight in all honesty. Perhaps the standout is Besiktas vs. Wolves. Lazio vs. Rennes could be interesting.

Oh and I am curious to see how AZ go against Man United, they have a decent team.

Besiktas exited from the EL groupstage last season and seems the same outcome will happen again this season.

They have financial and managerial issues. Their president resigned recently.

Good week for Dutch football in the Europa League.

Feyenoord beats FC Porto 2-0 at home, which was quite unexpected, though in De Kuip stadium everything can happen.
PSV had a very easy match against Rosenborg BK beating them 1-4 away. Donyell Malen was quality again with his 2 goals.
AZ Alkmaar drawed Manchester United 0-0 but should have won since they looked the better team. They have good talents.

In all three matches Japanese players featured: Ritsu Doan for PSV; Yukinari Sugawara for AZ; and Shoya Nakajima for Porto, who had a notable falling out with his coach Sergio Conceiçao earlier in the season and has failed to recapture the form he showed for Portimonense.

Sugawara seems to be doing well at AZ. Featured in the Eredivisie team of the week this season etc.

Yes, I was very impressed with Doan. I still had some doubts if he was good enough but he looks like a worthy addition to PSV.
Also, since Svensson the right back of AZ was suspended there were doubts as well but Sugawara did very well as his replacement.
