Liverpool were terrible, but if you don't put the ball in the net you don't win games. Spurs couldn't manage to despite being the better side. Too many mistakes from them in the final third.

Perhaps the worst CL final I've seen.

No South American manager has won the CL since 1965 I think? Also from the wrong side of Milano.

We're pretty high on that list if you ask neutrals, the 2003.

IMO the Bayern-Valencia, Bayern-Chelsea, and Inter-Bayern among the worse.

Bayern-Inter was dreadful

Bayern chelsea at least had penalties drama!

Tonight was horrible.

What a shit Final... Spurs didn’t have a shot on target until 74’... and they looked the better team most of the match. Partially due to playing catch-up after giving away PK within 30s.

Also its hard to argue that PK since Sissokos arm was spread out so far and high

Finally wtf is UEFA doing having the Slovenian referee here? Get a proper ref from a proper league next time!

The 2003 final was not enjoyed by many neutrals because it was not a fast-paced goal-fest. But the level of football was higher than what we saw yesterday, which was full of individual errors. 2003 felt a bit more like a chess match, typically Italian in the tactical aspect.

In a chess match, they try to win.

Anyways, this game yesterday was full of mistakes, mindless fast-paced game, but it is not much worst or better than last year, which also had several mistakes that we do not expect to find in a supposed high level competition. But then, maybe the level of CL is just not that high as people dream while compared to other years.

Quality is defo lower now, no question.

Once Zidane and Ronaldo left Real, everyone said it was such an open field this season with no true great team standing out and it turned out that way.

That was pathetic last night, I've never been so uninterested in a CL final before due to how bad it was.

The traditional CL giants need to improve, cos we don't want another final like that.

Just watched the highlights, and yeah.

They just cancelled each other out, but the quality on show is another level to yesterday.

Passes are being completed for a start.

Sideways passes are easier to be completed.

Of course, both teams had better players, but that was far from a great display of football. You cannt make it somehow good just because of the style. (But then, Valencia-Bayern was worst, so perhaps a good CL final is something rare). Come to think off, you may have a final with Roque Jr as full back and now one with an egyptian scoring and a south korean as the best player of one of the teams (and the guy who hit more shots at the goal, if I am not mistaken).
