nice one...

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? Fully deserved, Spurs simply didn't allow Ajax to do what Madrid and Rube allowed them to do.

Ajax choked big time. They had this in the bag, but succumbed to playing with a provincial mentality. As @Yatta would say, Ajax are bottlers!

I guess Ajax will no longer be relevant from the European scene after they sell de Jong, de Ligt, Ziyech, Tadic, van der Beek etc. and they'll reemerge in 2040 with a new promising generation of talent, make another deep CL run, only to be ripped apart again...

It's worth mentioning that Real and juve missed their best CBs in the decisive games v Ajax (Ramos and Chiellini)

Also Real hit the post at 0-0 at Bernabeu (Varane) Would have been a totally different tie then had Real gone 1-0 up and 3-1 on agg.

I guess Rotterdam won't sleep tonight, btw..

Spurs ended the game with Eriksen, Alli, Son, Lamela, Lucas and Llorente. Pretty much all their available offensive power.

So, either Pocchetino will win his first trophy for Spurs or Klopp will win his first at Liverpool.

Both coaches have certainly improved those teams. And obviously very good players were brought in by managements too.

bla bla bla, Rube should have considered the chance that an almost 35 yo center back might miss games. They are not good enough.

Spurs have a squad full of internationals. Their management, over the years, assembled it. Their management signed those players and this coach, and kept the faith in the manager despite winning nothing.

They didn't add anyone in the last 2 mercatos because of the new stadium, but held on to their best players though unlike the past when they sold the Berbatovs, Modrics' and Bales.

A new stadium and a CL final. Not giving their management credit for that would be absurd. They have also consistently been up there amongst the best teams in a competitive league.

Well juve weren't good enough indeed, I barely remember Onana doing much. Especially in Turin.

But Chiellini makes a difference. I doubt De Ligt outjumps him like he did with Rugani and Alex Sandro.

I agree with that. I thought you were putting an emphasis to the (wrong) assumption that they did better this year because of better players as compared to the ones they previously had.

And, Pochettino... What a GOAT
