Figo linked with move to LA Galaxy

The Portuguese star had been tipped to follow his former Real Madrid team-mate David Beckham to Los Angeles during the summer but instead signed a one-year contract extension with the Nerazzurri.

Now the Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Figo and retired French legend Zinedine Zidane met with Galaxy supremo Alexi Lalas about a possible move to the American club.

Figo hit the headlines on Sunday after reacting angrily and kicking an advertisement board after being substituted against Catania.

This act of petulance did not impress Inter boss Roberto Mancini who sniped that the player should “sort out his attitude when getting substituted.”

The pair cleared the air yesterday morning but the former European and World Footballer of the Year is still said to be unhappy at being continually substituted during games.

Inter are currently preparing for their opening Champions League match against Turkish champions Fenerbahce in Istanbul tomorrow night.

The thing i don't get is what kind of a salary structure is the Galaxy using if they were somehow able to sign both Figo and Zidane.

I highly doubt Zidane would come. Designated player slots can be traded though. That's how NY has both JPA and Reyna.
