Sueo MLS makes national TV debut

BELL GARDENS, Calif. - While 500 more aspiring players took the field on Sunday in Bell Gardens, California, the nationally-televised Univision sports show, Republica Deportiva, aired the first installment of "Sueño MLS: Chivas Wants You!. The opening weekend wraps up Monday, with a very special "Pros vs. Amateurs" Penalty Kick Shootout as anticipation continues to build for Wednesday, when the list of the 60 talented young players who will go on to the second round will be published exclusively on

I saw it but it will be similar to that Bobby Knight show on ESPN a few years ago where 12 Texas Tech students try-out for the team and the winner get to be on the team but of course he at most would be the 12th man

funny thing is he wasn't even a Chivas fan, he supports Pumas

the winner was announced yesterday, forgot his name but it was a 17 year old Mexican from California (probably illegal, oh well) he will get a contract but the coach says he will start in the youth teams, as MLS now have youth levels
