Paper books vs digital books

i don't own kindle or anything like this. sometimes I've read some books as .pdf files but the experience is not the same for some reason. I still feel I need a paper book (when reading fiction at least) to have the right feeling.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And.its the football, thats the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

Same here, paper books have a certain intimacy to me.

Kindle = Free shit yo. 8 for Crime & Punishment in paper, or 0.00 from the internet, totally legal. Great times

I prefer physical still. I do buy kindle books but it's mostly books I'm semi-interested in. Books that I am fully hyped about I get in physical format.

The only real advantage is the ability to read my kindle books across different devices. Phone on the go and tablet at home.

I don't know that I'd buy a Kindle only device.

Is reading on the tablet harmful for eyes?

Depends how close you keep it to your face, the electrocmagnetic frequencies can cause irritation if held too close.

Prefer paper, but moving to tablets. I have read quite a few books on my HP Touchpad - a couple of thousand paperback pages at least. Given the same well lit environment the tablet hurts my eyes a lot more than a normal paper back - I tend to read before bed and usually wake up with irritation in the morning if I read more than 1 hr. For reference I had 60-80 vision and that's probably higher after a year of tablet reading.

Books I know I will keep, I will buy the physical version, otherwise, read it on tablet.

Cost aside (if you buy them), audio books are the best. I get mines from the library. They're especially great during long drives. And I like the light-free "reading" before bed.

I find that the digital books are in a weird way 'souless' in contrast to the physical books. Just not the same
