Appreciating Literary Works

Any literary works you guys truly appreciate, and are down to discuss about/give reviews on?

I am an avid reader, and usually read philosophical works and 18th/19th century British literature.

Best philosophical book i have read is Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche, if Mahabharat (if considered a philosophical work) is not considered.

My favorite novel is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, one of my favorite writers.

What do you like about Great Expectations? Why is it your favourite and isn't it really hard to pick a favourite?

Ma question préférée: qu'est-ce j'vais faire de tout cet oseille?

^ I really don't know. Great Expectations was one of the first novels I read. Back then I wasn't that well acquainted with literature in general, and thus the writing style and the complexity of the story really fascinated me. I reread the book a couple of years ago, and I found it equally appealing. The only obvious flaw in the book for me was the number of coincidences. Too many of it.

It is pretty hard to pick a favorite. I was confused between a few, but this one is comfortably in the summit for me.
